The Dears, a critically acclaimed "orchestral-pop-noir-romantique" rock 'n' roll band from Montréal, is the lifework of Murray A. Lightburn. Son of a jazzman-turned-preacher, Lightburn's attunement to songwriting was shaped equally by '90s rock and a broad tableau of gospel, soul, and pop music. The Dears formed in 1995 and released End of a Hollywood Bedtime Story in 2000 via Grenadine Records. Their orchestral, dark pop sound and dramatic live shows cemented the band at the foundation of the then-emerging Canadian indie renaissance. "Bridging the gap between late '60s European heartbreak (a nod to Serge Gainsbourg) and modern underground fury (Crime And the City Solution), this sextet perfectly fuse the essences of both eras with a pained delivery by singer Murray Lightburn, even when he stretches to barely hit the notes. Layers of vintage, timeless keys (Farfisa VIP 500 et al.) are built upon anthemic chord progressions to create musical vignettes where loneliness, lost love and an oppressive urban skyline open wounds that only drink can cure. Easy use, easy grasp salt and pepper grinders

Wish I got these earlier as well! Easy to use, easy to fill, easy to charge. Seems quite durable and quality is high, not cheap or pkasticky. Easy to grab unit and press button to dispense. The battery charge life seems long lasting esp since we use these every day for meals.

I opened it up and charged it and it works well only thing I did not like is the knob for the grinding method doesn’t stop so you really don’t know what it’s on until you grind. Other than that it would get 5 stars if it was made a little better on the grinding selection

Absolutely love these!

I didn’t expect to like them THIS much, but these electric salt and pepper grinders are amazing. They look super sleek on the counter, and the charging base is really convenient — no more buying batteries! The grind size is easy to adjust, and both salt and pepper come out evenly without getting stuck.
The LED light is a small thing, but honestly so useful when cooking in the evening. I’ve been using them every day and the battery still holds great.
If you’re thinking about getting a set, this one is definitely worth it. Makes cooking and serving so much easier and feels way more premium than I expected.
