The night is pierced by a single voice, ringing as clear as crystal between Kiruna and Trelleborg. It belongs to the Swedish singer-songwriter Kristoffer Bolander, whose second solo album is being released by the Hamburg-based label Tapete. What Never Was Will Always Be offers compelling evidence of his accession to the European elite of alternative songwriters. Moving beyond the typical spectrum of alternative folk as heard on Bolander's 2015 debut I Forgive Nothing (TR 325CD/LP), the sophomore album represents a significant evolution in sound. The wonderfully delicate, high-pitched voice of the Swedish singer is framed beautifully by his excellent band, at times quietly focused, at others ramping up distorted guitars and visceral drums. But what really makes the atmosphere of What Never Was Will Always Be unique is the introduction of electronic elements. From gentle synth pads, reminiscent of Brian Eno soundscapes, to dry, pulsating electro drums, with flashes of arpeggios. The songs range from the epic über-hit "Cities" to danceable synth pop numbers like "Animals" and classic folk tunes such as "True Romance" which features Kristoffer Bolander's voice accompanied only by an acoustic guitar. The album is a panoply of small worlds, every song occupying it's own sonic dimension, produced to perfection. Add in Bolander's unique lyrical qualities and an extraordinary mood develops, his words falling like mantras from the future, with tales of lost cities and life-changing romances. The new components gently shift the music away from the tried and trusted folk album biotope into a forward-looking electro folk pop sphere. Kristoffer Bolander took care of all the arrangements by himself and Daniel Johansson, renowned for his work with the likes of Grammy winner Tommy Black, was on production duties. Together, the pair created a distinctive sound for each individual song. Bolander and Johansson's meticulous attention to detail shines through the array of instrumentation so masterfully deployed on the record, perfectly complemented by Bolander's expressive voice. Our Frenchie loves this toy

Our Frenchie loves to pull and tug. She also loves to run after balls. The two in one makes it the perfect toy for her. We've been using it for over 8 months and while it does have some wear and tear... it's lasted a lot longer than her other today. She likes to grab the rope and run around the grass (sometimes getting too excited and tripping over the ball). As soon as we have to throw this one away... there's no doubt we are getting another one.

This is perfect for puppies. And small to medium dogs without strong biting jaws

My border collie loved this as a puppy but wore out the rope. I got her another now that she is a year old and she loves it still but the rope showed wear almost immediately. She runs dragging it behind her and watching it bounce and she also swings it back and forth banging it on her head often but, it's so lightweight I don't worry that she's doing any harm to herself.

Love this toy

I buy these all the time for my dog. They’re the easiest for me to throw and the dog loves them. The only reason they don’t get five stars as because the stitching comes out after a couple months. Therefore, I have to continuously buy them. Because of the fact that they are way easier to throw other balls and they’re easy to see also.

Great Toy
Size: One Size
My three year old loves to play fetch and this dog toy was perfect for him. With the bright, signature orange and blue colors, he can easily spot it when I throw it even in the night. He really loves it when it bounces on the ground as he prefers to jump up and get it. The toy has been through a lot and so far he hasn't chewed through it yet as it is very thick for him to get through.

Lasted whole five minutes!

I received this last night and did a cute "unwrapping" this morning for my dog, who was thrilled to get new balls. Unfortunately, the excitement was short-lived. I know the description says this isn't a chew toy or for aggressive chewers, but lasting only five minutes is ridiculous. You can see in my photo that it ripped from a single bite while my pup was just pulling the ball. I thought that was exactly what this toy was designed for!
