The Airfix 1/72 Battle of Britain Gift Set is a comprehensive model kit that commemorates the iconic aerial battles of World War II. This set includes detailed replicas of four significant aircraft: the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Ia, Hawker Hurricane Mk.I, Messerschmitt Bf109E-4, and Heinkel He111 P-2. Each model is designed to 1:72 scale, offering a balance between detail and manageable size for display.

The kit provides all necessary components for assembly, including 12 acrylic paints, two brushes, and two tubes of poly cement, making it suitable for both novice and experienced modelers. The inclusion of both Allied and Axis aircraft allows for a comprehensive representation of the Battle of Britain, providing historical context and educational value.

Each aircraft model features accurate detailing and markings, reflecting their real-life counterparts during the 1940s. The Supermarine Spitfire and Hawker Hurricane were pivotal in defending the UK skies, while the Messerschmitt Bf109 and Heinkel He111 represent the Luftwaffe's offensive capabilities.

This gift set serves as both a tribute to the pilots who fought in the Battle of Britain and a rewarding project for model enthusiasts interested in World War II aviation history.

Good stand but has issues.
Color: Black - Sunburst
Very sturdy and looks good. But, the part that holds the umbrella is loose and requires a wedge to stop it spinning (I used a plastic knife). Also the screw on the bottom RUSTS and in a BIG way. To solve the rust issue I put an old plastic cutting board under it. We use it with the modifications mentioned.

Nice umbrella stand
This stand is sturdy enough for my 9 ft umbrella. I only used water to fill it so it can be moved if necessary. The umbrella is taken down if it gets too windy as it would be damaged. This would not be the fault of the stand, just the nature of living near the coast.
