This compilation contains every song Beach House - aka Alex Scally and Victoria Legrand - has made that does not exist on one of their albums. The band explains: When we announced that we were releasing a B-sides and rarities album, someone on Twitter asked, "B-sides record? Why would Beach House put out a B-sides record? Their A-sides are like B-sides." This random person has a point. Our goal has never been to make music that is explicitly commercial. Over the years, as we have worked on our 6 LPs, it wasn't the "best" or most catchy songs that made the records, just the ones that fit together to make a cohesive work. Accordingly, our B-sides are not songs that we didn't like as much, just ones that didn't have a place on the records we were making. The oldest song is "Rain in Numbers" and was recorded in 2005, during the summer when we formed the band. We didn't have a piano, so we asked our friend if we could use his, which was pretty out of tune. We used the mic that was on the four-track machine to record the piano and vocals. It was originally the secret song on our self-titled debut. The next couple of songs are from late 2008. We were so excited about "Used to Be" that we quickly recorded it and put it on a 7" for our fall tour with the Baltimore Round Robin. The same session begat our cover of Queen's "Play the Game" for a charity compilation benefiting AIDS research; we will continue to donate all profits from the song to that charity. As fans of Queen, we thought it would be fun and ridiculous to try to adapt their high-powered pop song into our realm. These songs were recorded at the same studio where we made Devotion. There are a bunch of songs written and recorded in the 2009-2010 window. "Baby" was written and recorded in October 2009 with our friend Jason Quever. "10 Mile Stereo" was recorded during the Teen Dream session in July 2009. Since we used tape, we often slowed the tape way down to create effects while recording, which led to "10 Mile Stereo (Cough Syrup Remix)." "White Moon" and "The Arrangement" were both songs that we didn't believe fit on Teen Dream. "White Moon" originally appeared on our iTunes live session. Since that was recorded and mixed very hastily, we have remixed it to better match our current aesthetics. We have also remixed and included the version of "Norway" we did at that same session. We wrote and recorded "I Do Not Care for the Winter Sun" during a break between tours and released it on the internet for free, unmastered. Well, it's finally been mastered

The Real Deal, get them
Color: Gold/G-15 Green, Lens Width: 55 Millimeters
Lets me start by saying I love glasses and not only that, I am loyal to the multiple pair that I own. That being said I was pretty pissed when some punk kid stole my bag off the beach with my favorite pair, which was a pair called the tonette by electric visual. Great glasses, light, stayed on the face, and looked good but this time around I wanted something a little different. I had seen a pair of these worn around only once and I noticed they werent the over worn aviator style, one of the reason I got these, and immediatly fell in love. Went to the mall the next day and wasnt too surprised when the guy said "for you ill give you a nice deal and only charge you 120.00" needless to say, I gently put them down and walked out. Later that day, I ordered these for 30% off the mall price and got them 2 days later. PRAISE THE LORD FOR PRIME.
PROS:
-authentic ray bans
-comes with the leather case which I still use 6 months after purchase
-great tint
-great glasses
CONS:
-they are a little small but fit my face fine, if your looking for a lot of coverage or have a big head...these probably arent for you
-wire frame, these are my first wire frame glasses and yes they are more sensitive than my old pair but im still rocking them, if you cant baby a pair of glasses dont be surprised if you bend them little
OVERALL:
get these, dont be scared if you think your getting ripped off cause youre not. These are the real deal, just do it

Not cheap, but you get what what you pay for!!!
Color: Gold/G-15 Green, Lens Width: 58 Millimeters
After seventeen years in the blazing sun of Tucson, Arizona, I FINALLY broke down and brought myself (what I hoped was) a quality pair of sunglasses! I had gone through countless pairs of cheapies and had decided it was time. In the back of my mind, admittedly, I wondered if it was worth it... (I can be tight with a buck). The verdict? WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! My first impression? They felt heavy. Not uncomfortably, mind you, but the mass of something well made. After a day or two that only makes them more comfortable... And yes, over time, a few expected random scratches, but far fewer than their lower priced counterparts. And it's not like I baby them. They get beaten up. And they only seem to look BETTER instead of worse... a true sign of quality! This won't be my last pair. But I don't anticipate having to replace them for a long while. In a nutshell? Buy 'em. You won't regret it!

My Most-Worn RayBans By Far
Color: Gold/G-15 Green, Lens Width: 55 Millimeters
These are what you buy when you look absolutely horrible in teardrop Aviators, which I do. I've even had commissioned salespeople tell me not to wear teardrop aviators, that's how bad they look on me.
I purchased these in 2012 after owning a pair of Ray Ban New Wayfarers. I wanted something more stylish and more vintage looking. These are light, the earpieces practically disappear on your face, and the lens quality is outstanding. They've been dropped many times but so far, they're still gleaming like new. The nose pads can irritate my nose after long periods of wear, but they're still way more comfortable than my optical glasses.
I wear these when I know I'm going to be in the sun for a long time because they don't give me big tan lines on the side of my face. I tried a 55mm, but ended up needing a 58mm to fit my big head. The lenses on the 58mm are a tad taller than I would like, but they provide excellent sun protection and they don't look bad on me at all. Ironically, I bought my dad a pair of 55mm American Optical sunglasses and they're almost exactly the same size and shape as the 58mm Caravans. They do provide more wrap than the American Optical.
I've gotten a lot of compliments about these, maybe more than any other pair of sunglasses I've ever owned.

Perfect for Pilots
Color: Gold/G-15 Green, Lens Width: 55 Millimeters
I work in aviation and got these because they have a very top gun, fresh-esque look. The glass is solid, I’ve dropped them a few times and haven’t scratched them yet (from August - March). Fits perfectly under my headset and they can slide on and off pretty easily with the headset on. I can see the G1000 perfectly, without losing any of the panel as I did with my polarized glasses.
Good shades - slightly too small for my face, hence the four stars.

Just perfect.
Color: Gold Havana/G-15 Green, Lens Width: 55 Millimeters
I saw this model of Ray Bans while watching Top Gun: Maverick. Actor John Hamm (Cyclone, in the movie) sported these during the beach scene. I looked for them here in Amazon and was lucky to find them for less than $100. They fit just great, and the lenses (G-15), give a clear and high definition picture. I definitely recommend them, perfect for driving, cycling, or your next F/A-18 mission.
