Tumbleweed Switch Grass is a native warm-season ornamental grass with a dense upright habit that opens until rounded.  The fine blue green foliage turns warm golden amber in fall before fading to beige in winter.  In summer, stems holding airy clusters create a cloud of tiny, rose to silvery black flowers above the foliage in late summer which persist through winter. Prefers part sun and moist well-drained soils.  

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:  Low maintenance plant. Too much shade will lose its upright form.  Beetles and mites are occasional problems.  Root and crown rot may occur in poorly drained soils. Some susceptibility to rust.
