If a dog could write a book of philosophy, what would it contain? If you have spent part of your life with a dog, you may find certain questions popping, unbidden, into your mind. Is my dog living a fulfilled life? Is my dog a good dog? Does my dog love me? This, however only scratches the surface of a canine philosophy. Drawing on his life lived with dogs (two German shepherds, the amiable Hugo and his dark twin Shadow; Brenin, a wolf hybrid, and Tess his wolf dog daughter; and Nina, a German shepherd/malamute mix), on the ideas of philosophers from Socrates to Hume and Sartre, and on the cutting edge psychology of canine cognition, philosopher Mark Rowlands explores the way dogs experience the world to bring us closer to an understanding of ourselves. While dogs feel unparalleled joy and focus in the moment, humans are burdened by the disquietude of anxiety, doubt and even anguish. Happiness for dogs can be achieved in the daily chase of a squirrel, for humans it is much more elusive. Digging deep into their morality, freedoms, consciousness, intelligence and love of life, Rowlands discovers that dogs have a unique way of existing which amounts to a different philosophical outlook altogether - if they could write such a thing - and that they may have better answers to the meaning of life than we do.

Durable and sturdy. I bought two
Size: H Desk Unfinished 3/4-in and 1/2-in
Love the kit. I ordered two to make an L-shaped desk for my home office. Perfect height, looks cool, and sturdy. Slightly tricky to get two of them to the exact same height but you can adjust them buy loosing/tightning parts. Way cheaper than going to the hardware store and buying the same parts. I wiped each piece down as they are a bit dirty/greasy, but no big deal.

Great legs - sturdy when fully assembled with tabletop.
Size: H Desk Unfinished 3/4-in and 1/2-in
These legs are great. I put it together with a butcher block tabletop and it turned out beautifully. I recommend using a level on the legs once you get them into position and again when you place a top on it. The screws included were so easy to screw into the block but that will vary depending on the top you select. Watch the videos another reviewer posted on cleaning the legs with a mild soapy water and dry them thoroughly. It really helped me. Also after it was all assembled I used a clear acrylic - in a spray can to clear coat and seal the legs. I am really happy with it.

Nice small bar cart
Color: Brown(17"w）, Color: Brown(17"w）
We have a bar area but it’s downstairs and we are usually upstairs so it’s not convenient. I wanted a little cart to hold a few items but not be in the way. After looking all over the Internet I found this one for a good price. I liked the ability to remove the top so we can bring just that into the kitchen or living room and it looks nice. I had to put it together and it wasn’t too difficult, took about 30 min, HOWEVER I used a ratcheting screwdriver with an Allen wrench attachment or else it would have taken a lot longer! (It does come with the little Allen wrench included so you don’t have to purchase any tools.) All the parts were labeled well and included a couple extra screws. I tightened it up good and it’s sturdy. It doesn’t take up a lot of space. If you just need a small cart this will work! PS you can opt to leave off the parts that hold the wine glass if you don’t need them/ or want more space on that middle shelf
