For a good many years it has been the author’s joy to read and reread many of the books written by the early Church of God writers. He was blessed and inspired by many of the things he read. As time passed, the author thought that others would be blessed by these inspirational gems just as he was and thus the birth of this volume.

The Psalmist of old set the guidelines for the direction of this little book―“Great is the LORD.” The first guidelines is simply the “greatness” of our God! We serve a great God who has done great things in the lives of his children. This is the second guideline in this book.

Those great things done in the lives of God’s children serve as the venue for sharing the greatness of our God. Who is like him? NO ONE! Thus the speakers in this volume were compelled to tell of the mighty acts of God in their lives and by doing so, to relate the greatness of our God. Each daily devotions is a recounting of some mighty deed of God done for them.

This book becomes an endeavor to share those mighty acts of God from one generation to another. Thus this present generation can become aware of how the LORD has worked in their lives.

The final guideline is that we may join our beloved Church of God authors in celebrating God’s abundant goodness and righteousness. As they share their thoughts, may you, the reader, be blessed and inspired in the service of our great God as you receive inspiration and direction for our troubled times from some of the pioneer leaders of the Church of God Reformation Movement.
