The white, octagonal body adds a crisp look to the unit, topped by a maroon, octagonal roof with eight dormers. A white cupola, mimicking the shape of the light on the real edifice, tops the item, finished by a smaller maroon roof and stylized American flag. The roost has two 1.25" diameter entry holes, creating places for two avian families. These apartments are separated from each other by a plywood panel, offering a comfortable shelter for your birds. The interior of the Lighthouse Bird House remains unpainted, keeping it safe for nestlings, and the extended roof helps ventilate the item. Drainage holes dot the base of the home, for dry nests, and the bottom of the Lighthouse Bird House may also be removed for seasonal cleanings. Use the included 5" x 5" mounting plate to easily place this home on a 4" x 4" post (not included). The wooden construction brings a natural hint to the piece, adding sturdiness and drama to the home. Fast and easy but I dont trust the process to be fully automated.
The process was very smooth and fairly quick. The only challenge I had was that the CLAIM status showed complete but I had to manually go look up the status. There was no email or notification it was closed. After manually checking the status, I called customer support and they said since I called in, they would process the payout. I wonder if I didnt call in if they would have processed it? Also, the phone rep said they would issue me a amazon egift card but then the next day I received a email saying they mailed out the payout. Very poor communication but so far the process was easy and fast.

Affordable protection plan and superb customer care
I usually don’t buy extended warranty, but I took a chance and added a 4-year Asurion Protection Plan to my purchase of a Canon PIXMA printer. So glad I did!! After only a year and a half, my printer showed an error message 6800. Cannon website states “Support code 6800 generally indicates a failure with the logic board on your printer. Service will be required.” How convenient for that to happen shortly out of Canon’s regular 1-year warranty (🙄). I called Canon. Long story short…they couldn’t do anything for me unless I purchase a warranty plan from them and they send me a replacement or I would need to pay for a repair. No thanks. I called Asurion and talked to a very nice tech support person. She couldn’t get rid of the error message remotely, so she transferred me to another very nice support specialist, who helped me start a repair claim. Asurion mailed me a box with a lot of packing material, along with shipping instructions and label to ship my printer to them for free. A few days into the repair process, they determined my Canon printer was unrepairable and they emailed me an Amazon gift card that same day for the cost of my crappy Canon printer. They were in total communication via email throughout the repair process. I highly recommend Asurion, and I would definitely purchase another protection plan from them again.
