The folding knife has been a trusted everyday companion for centuries, valued because it tucks a real working blade safely into the pocket. From the earliest folding designs carried by tradesmen and travelers to the classic pocket knives passed down through families, the form earned its place through pure usefulness. Its enduring appeal lies in combining genuine cutting power with safe, compact carry.

As craftsmanship advanced, makers began forging folding blades from Damascus steel and pairing them with stabilized pakka wood in vibrant colors. The combination unites old-world pattern-welding with modern everyday-carry function and standout style. This handmade Damascus folder carries that tradition forward a pocket-friendly blade that's as eye-catching as it is capable.

Introduction

This Handmade Damascus Steel Folding Knife is built to be carried, used, and admired every single day. Its 3.5-inch Damascus drop point blade opens to a comfortable 7 inches, folding neatly back into a bold pink pakka wood handle for safe pocket carry. The flowing layered pattern and vivid handle color make it a true standout, in the pocket or on display.

A smooth pivot and secure lockup give confident, reliable deployment for everyday tasks. It belongs to our liner lock folding knives collection, where each knife is hand-forged and individually finished so no two are exactly alike. For more color options, the Damascus Pakka Wood Folder makes a great companion.

Blade

The 3.5-inch blade is forged from genuine pattern-welded Damascus steel, its flowing layered pattern a structural result of folding and forging the steel rather than a surface etching. The versatile drop point profile keeps the tip controlled and strong with a useful belly for slicing the ideal all-around EDC shape. Damascus construction delivers excellent edge retention and a fine, sharp edge that holds well through daily use.

Handle

The handle is crafted from durable pink pakka wood a stabilized composite prized for its toughness, moisture resistance, and rich, vibrant color. It offers a secure, comfortable grip and a bold, distinctive look that sets it apart from plain factory folders. Built around a sturdy frame with a secure lock and smooth pivot, the handle keeps the blade safely closed for carry and firmly locked when in use.

Uses

This Damascus folder is a true everyday workhorse, ideal for EDC cutting tasks, opening packages, slicing, light food prep, and general utility around the home, office, trail, or workbench. Its compact size makes it easy to carry anywhere, while the Damascus blade and vivid pink handle also make it a handsome collector's piece and a memorable gift for knife enthusiasts and everyday carriers.

Care Instructions

Damascus steel rewards simple, regular care. Wipe and dry the blade after use, never put it in a dishwasher. Apply a light coat of food-safe mineral oil to the blade and a drop to the pivot every few weeks to keep the action smooth and protect against rust. Keep the handle and pivot free of grit, store the knife in a dry place, and sharpen on a whetstone as needed to maintain a keen edge.

FAQs

What are the blade and open lengths of this Pakka wood Damascus folder?

This folder features a 3.5-inch Damascus drop point blade that opens to about 7 inches overall, folding back to roughly 3.5–3.75 inches closed. The pocket-friendly size handles everyday cutting tasks with ease while staying compact and comfortable to carry anywhere.

Is the pink Pakka wood handle durable enough for everyday pocket carry?

Yes. Pakka wood is a stabilized composite valued for its toughness, moisture resistance, and rich color, standing up well to daily use. Built around a sturdy frame with a secure lock and smooth pivot, the handle gives a comfortable, secure grip and keeps the blade safely closed for carry.

Is the Damascus blade on this folding knife genuine pattern-welded steel?

Yes. The blade is forged from genuine pattern-welded Damascus steel, where the flowing layered pattern is a structural result of folding and forging the steel, not a surface etching. This gives the blade excellent edge retention and a fine, sharp edge well-suited to daily everyday carry use.

What kind of lock mechanism does this handmade Damascus folding knife use?

This folder uses a secure folding lock that holds the blade firmly open during use and keeps it safely closed for carry. Depending on the model, that's typically a liner lock for smooth one-handed use or a lock back for extra-secure lockup.

How do I care for the Damascus blade and pivot to keep it rust-free over time?

Wipe and dry the blade after use, then apply a light coat of food-safe mineral oil to the blade and a drop to the pivot every few weeks. Keep the pivot free of grit and store the knife in a dry place. This keeps the action smooth and protects the Damascus steel from rust over time.

Great toy while it lasts
Size: 3 INCH, Pattern Name: IQ TREAT BALL 3"
We purchased one of these for our 10 pound Malshipoo as she gets bored easily and this thing definitely keeps her busy for awhile while she tries to get the treats out. She rolls and kicks it hard enough that I'm sometimes fearful it will break but after having owned it for 14 months it's actually held together quite nicely to my surprise. I think it came apart once and that's probably because I didn't have it screwed on correctly. The only reason I didn't rate it higher was two things: First, I don't like that the top section is in two parts and you have to fit them together just right for it to screw on. Why not make it one solid piece on the top? The second reason I didn't rate it higher is the white plate with the hole you twist to make the hole bigger or smaller is now a lot looser so when our dog bangs this against a wall or anything hard the hole shifts and makes it bigger thus the game doesn't last as long. So I'm purchasing a new one and hoping this doesn't happen again. I guess it's just wear and tear but I would have like it to last longer than 14 months. Maybe I guess my expectations aren't realistic. Hopefully the next one lasts longer.

This is a good toy to keep some dogs busy
Size: 4 INCH, Pattern Name: IQ TREAT BALL 4"
I purchased this for my pitbull that is very food driven. One thing I first noticed about this ball is the type plastic it's made of. It's similar to the plastic they use for some cheap hamster balls. I would be cautious If you live in a two story home that doesn't have carpeted stairs because this my break after falling down the stairs or a few drops from a few feet. If you have a small dog, be cautious if they bite onto the ball because they can get their teeth stuck in the small holes. I would also advise people with large dogs with strong jaws from this toy because if they crush this plastic, the edges will be sharp enough to cut their mouths. The first thing you would have to do is adjust the center white disc to the size of the treats. If you make the hole too big, too many treats will fall out too fast and it will shorten the time you dog will play with this. You can put small training training treats or dog food in the bottom half of the ball. I use my dogs food for my dog. Be mindful of the amount of the treat's calories and the quantity you put in the ball. Just make sure you account the extra calories for the amount of exercise your dog receives otherwise you may have a chubby doggy. After filling the bottom half and placing the white disc on top of it, all you have to do is screw on the top and its ready for your dog to work for their tasty snacks. I wouldn't have given this to my dog when she was younger because was the type of dog that would of destroyed the toy when she was aggravated with it just to get to the treats. Now she's learned to figure out toys before she brings it to me to help her out. I usually fill it up with some low calorie food and when she gets down to the last few bits, she gives up on the toy and leaves it where it is or brings it back to me to open it up for the last few pieces. I was surprised after several uses, the lid never accidentally came unscrewed while my dog was playing with it. Overall this is a good toy to keep my dog occupied for 20-30 minutes. Shes a pretty smart dog and shes learned how to get the treats out fairly quick. Your mileage may vary depending on the size and shape of your treats you put in.

Kept our dog busy!
Color: Navy Blue, Color: Navy Blue
We have a 4 month old corgi and he is obsessed with this toy. The puzzle pieces move really easily so they are able to get into it but also create enough of a puzzle for them to move around.

Challenging for my experienced puzzle players, sturdy all in one.
Color: Navy Blue
My girls love this treat puzzle; it is not for a first timer. My dogs have several of these and they cannot get the hand of spinning the light blue circle to move the small red covers. It is a challenge and that is what they need to give me some me time.

Keeps my dog busy for a bit
Color: Navy Blue
I don't fill the hard to open spots yet, he's just figuring it out. It does keep his attention. It's a little small for a big dog (100lb Lab), prob better for a small dog. He has a hard time with the little trays. Definitely worth trying out. I wanted an inexpensive puzzle toy to try first, in case he didn't like it or couldn't figure it out.
