  • SUPERthrive pH Up 1 qt: SUPERthrive pH-Up 0-0-8 is used to lower the pH level of your nutrient solutions and water.

  • What is pH Up?

  • What is pH Up?: pH is a measure of acidity or alkalinity.

  • For growing in soil, the pH range should be 6.0 to 6.5.

  • In hydroponics, pH should be maintained between 5.5 and 6.0

  • When the proper pH is achieved, the nutrients become more available to the plant. pH levels that are too low or too high can result in the release of, or tying up of minerals in soils that can lead to toxic or deficient levels of some mineral elements. If pH is too high, lower the pH using Dyna-Gro pH-DOWN.

  • pH of 7.0 is considered neutral.

  • A lower pH is considered acidic and a higher pH is considered alkaline.

  • Application Rates

  • Application Rates: Before adding the nutrient solution: Using a pH meter to measure the acidity or alkalinity of the water. If the pH is LOWER than 6.0 (5.5 for hydroponics), add pH DOWN to nutrient solution in 1/2 tsp. per gallon increments until desired pH is achieved.

    Our dogs hurt their mouths chewing these bones

    I don't do a lot of reviews because I realize many are objective opinions. However, in this case I felt it was necessary to warn others. Our dogs are aggressive chewers. Their last rubber bones (not these) which we've purchased before, and recently purchased again, were destroyed quickly. Chunks of rubber came off the ends. Since those didn't hold up like they used to, I found these harder bones hoping they would last longer. They were able to gnaw into the hard plastic within a few minutes. This created sharp edges that cut their mouths. When I saw a bit of blood on the bones, I took them away from the dogs and threw them away. I wondered why they quit chewing on them after being so excited at first. Also, these are hard enough to damage a tooth.
