For readers throughout the world, The Hobbit serves as an introduction to the enchanting world of Middle-earth, home of elves, wizards, dwarves, goblins, dragons, orcs and a host of other creatures depicted in The Lord of the Rings and The Silmarillion -- tales that sprang from the mind of the most beloved author of all time, J.R.R. Tolkien.Newly expanded and completely redesigned, Douglas A. Anderson's The Annotated Hobbit is the definitive explication of the sources, characters, places, and things of J.R.R. Tolkien's timeless classic. Integrated with Anderson's notes and placed alongside the fully restored and corrected text of the original story are more than 150 illustrations showing visual interpretations of The Hobbit specific to many of the cultures that have come to know and love Tolkien's Middle-earth. Tolkien's original line drawings, maps and color paintings are also included, making this the most lavishly informative edition of The Hobbit available.
The Annotated Hobbit shows how Tolkien worked as a writer, what his influences and interests were, and how these relate to the invented world of Middle-earth. It gives a valuable overview of Tolkien's life and the publishing history of The Hobbit, and explains how every feature of The Hobbit fits within the rest of Tolkien's invented world. Here we learn how Gollum's character was revised to accommodate the true nature of the One Ring, and we can read the full text of The Quest of Erebor, Gandalf's explanation of how he came to send Bilbo Baggins on his journey with the dwarves. Anderson also makes meaningful and often surprising connections to our own world and literary history -- from Beowulf to The Marvellous Land of Snergs, from the Brothers Grimm to C. S. Lewis.

Comfortable, Stylish, and Great for Casual Seating
The OLIXIS Criss Cross Legged Chair is a really nice option if you prefer sitting cross-legged or want a wider, more relaxed seating style compared to a traditional office chair. The armless design and wide seat make it easy to shift positions throughout the day without feeling restricted.
Comfort-wise, the padding is decent and supportive for short to moderate sitting sessions. The adjustable height and swivel function work smoothly, and it’s easy to find a comfortable position whether you’re working at a desk, doing makeup, or just using it casually in a bedroom or home office setup.
The minimalist look is also a plus—it blends well with modern decor and doesn’t take up as much visual space as bulky office chairs. Assembly was fairly straightforward and didn’t take long.
One thing to note is that since it has no wheels, it’s not ideal if you need to move around your workspace frequently. Also, while it’s comfortable, it may not be the best choice for long, full workdays compared to a high-back ergonomic chair with more lumbar support.
Overall, this is a stylish and functional chair that works great for light office use, studying, or casual seating—especially if you like the criss-cross sitting position.

I LOVE MY Criss Cross Applesauce Office Desk Chair IS THE BEST
Color: Cream, Size: PU Leather(No Wheels)
The Criss Cross Applesauce Office Desk Chair is a unique and innovative addition to any workspace, offering a blend of comfort, functionality, and modern design.
What immediately stands out about this chair is its ergonomic design. The criss-cross frame provides excellent support to the back and promotes proper posture during long hours of sitting. This feature is particularly beneficial for reducing strain on the lower back and promoting overall spinal health, which is essential for those who spend extended periods at their desks.
The chair is upholstered with high-quality materials that offer both durability and comfort. The cushioned seat and backrest provide ample support while maintaining a plush feel, ensuring comfort throughout the workday.
Another notable feature is the adjustable height mechanism, which allows users to customize the chair to their preferred seating position. This versatility ensures that the chair can accommodate individuals of varying heights and preferences, enhancing overall ergonomic comfort.
In terms of aesthetics, the Criss Cross Applesauce chair boasts a modern and sleek design that complements contemporary office decor. Its minimalist appearance blends seamlessly into any workspace environment, adding a touch of style without compromising functionality.
Assembly of the chair is straightforward, with clear instructions provided for easy setup. The sturdy construction and stable base ensure reliability and safety, providing peace of mind for users.
While the chair excels in comfort and design, some users may find the criss-cross frame design to be unconventional compared to traditional office chairs. It's important to consider personal preferences and ergonomic needs when choosing a chair that best suits individual comfort requirements.
Overall, the Criss Cross Applesauce Office Desk Chair combines ergonomic support with modern aesthetics, making it a practical and stylish choice for enhancing comfort and productivity in the workplace. Perfect little black chair
I bought this chair for four reasons:
1. My favorite color is black, but the company offers different color options.
2. The height of the chair was exactly what I was looking for. I did not want a tall back for the chair. The chair is close to the ground, which is a plus for me, my back, and my knees as I get older.
3. The chair comes with the option of wheels or no wheels; I chose the no wheels option, as I get dizzy and sick when I spin around for too long.
4. The chair’s wide back and seat design are perfect for me, since I prefer to sit criss-cross in a chair.
Pluses: It reclines, is comfy, and can be cleaned and moved easily.

Great chair, highly recommend!
Color: Cream, Size: PU Leather(No Wheels), Color: Cream, Size: PU Leather(No Wheels)
Very nice looking chair! It is comfortable, classy, and durable unless you have a cat like mine who used it for his claws. It was easy to put together. All of the hardware was of good quality and everything fit perfectly. My 14 year old daughter even put it together herself. We actually bought two of these. The other one is in my daughter‘s room for her vanity. I highly recommend them whether you’re buying it to sit crisscross or just for roomy comfort. It is a very comfortable chair and looks elegant.
