With its large, paddle-shaped leaves and striking orange and blue blooms resembling a bird in flight, it’s one of the most iconic houseplants around. Even without flowers, its bold foliage adds instant jungle drama to bright interiors or sheltered outdoor spaces in summer.

Plant Care 

Light: Loves bright, direct light — a sunny window or conservatory is ideal. The more light it receives, the more likely it is to flower.

Watering: Water when the top inch of soil is dry, this plant is a thirsty one, but be sure not to leave water sitting to avoid root rot. 

Temperature: 18-27°C is ideal, but it can tolerate as low as  10°C

Potting: You don't need to repot this plant too often as it prefers to be a bit root-bound. Our Airy Aroid mix is a great choice for this plant.

Hot tips: To encourage blooming, give your plant plenty of light and food and keep it slightly pot-bound. 

Pet Friendly: NOPE, it's mildly toxic to those furry friends.
