"Ears Are Filled With Wonder, the debut release from the duo of pedal steel player Heather Leigh and reedist Peter Brötzmann, blows the old adage about improvised music somehow not being best appreciated via the recordings to beautiful pieces. This is a music that demands re-visiting, that seems to alter, slightly, every time it is played, with new details emerging, new relationships of tone and style, new romance, even. Recorded during a mammoth stint in Kraków, Poland, where Brötzmann and Leigh played as part of big bands, trios, quartets, and duos, this duo performance represents the diamond heart of the sessions, an improvised set that bears little relation to what either of the players has achieved outside of it's prodigious gravity. We mentioned romance and really Ears Are Filled With Wonder, a play on a line from the poet Kenneth Patchen, showcases the full reach of Brötzmann's rebel lyricism, his lover man style, now smoky, seductive, late night, now roaring and vibrating with energy. Leigh plays it extremely subtly, sometimes fixing on the most suggestive detail and from there spinning luscious webs of repeat-time bliss that make for some of the most psychedelic and otherworldly settings of strings and horn. Elsewhere the two of them tear the roof off with tactile fuzz and horn ascensions. It's a music of organic depth, of endlessly evocative unfolding, as themes bloom and sigh and disappear and arise and it feels curiously out of time, even as both players push their instruments into futuristic configurations. As such it doesn't sit neatly in either players' extensive catalogs.... Ears Are Filled With Wonder is a coming together of two of the most original voices on their respective instruments and the title reflects the joyful uncovering of a whole new way of listening and relating. Indeed, it might well be the first ever freely improvised electric pedal steel and saxophone duet ever put to tape. Either way it is one of the most startlingly beautiful combinations of players and temperaments to orbit the European jazz scene in years. And this is only the beginning. Lola look for a fraction of the price

I bought two of these blankets in twin size to protect our leather chairs from our cats' claws, after giving up on finding slip covers that looked good. I draped and pinned the blankets with a single large safety pin, and they pretty much stay put whereas other throws I've tried this with have not. I think it's because they're not too heavy or too light. I do need to adjust them from time to time after people have sat in them. I heard these blankets are a good substitute for the pricey Lola blankets, known for their bubbly texture. I haven't seen a Lola blanket, but these are certainly much less expensive and very nice, so soft and with the same bubbly look. The bubbles are not quite as pronounced as I'd hoped, but I have not tried following the manufacturer's suggestion of fluffing up by tumble-drying on cool with tennis balls. I'm happy with this purchase, and my cats are too.

This is the softest, most luxurious, coziest and authentic looking blanket. I told my sweetheart THIS is the cozy time blanket! Luxury at its finest! Luxurious look. It’s a soft faux fur on the top, with a beautiful and subtle variegated pattern that adds to the lifelike appearance. The inside of the blanket has a velvet feel and creates a cozy vibe. The blanket is a great size. Love it so much I got a second one

This blanket is perfect for snuggling. The throw size is perfect for napping or relaxing. It’s unbelievably soft. Faux rabbit fur is how I’d describe it. The color is perfect and consistent. It’s got great weight to it. It definitely has the power of nap inducement. My kids keep trying to steal it when they watch movies with me so I got a second because I’m not sharing! I’d get it in king size if they made it that big. Quality is amazing. It’s basically double layered with the top being the fluffy, bubble side and the other is a smooth yet still soft underside. It’s worth every penny and if you see it on a deal - DO NOT WAIT! Pull it out of the box and prepare to luxuriate beneath this deliciously soft and warm blanket. You DO need it!
