تحریکِ آزادی کے نام ور رہنما چودھری خلیق الزماں 25 دسمبر 1889ء کو لکھنو میں پیدا ہوئے۔ علی گڑھ یونی ورسٹی سے ایل ایل بی کرنے کے بعد انھوں نے وکالت کا پیشہ اختیار کیا۔ سیاست کی ابتدا انڈین نیشنل کانگریس کے پلیٹ فارم سے کی مگر بعد میں آل انڈیا مسلم لیگ سے وابستہ ہوئے اور اس جماعت سے ان کا یہ تعلق مرتے دم تک برقرار رہا۔ چودھری خلیق الزماں آل انڈیا مسلم لیگ میں مختلف عہدوں پر فائز رہے۔ 15 اگست 1947ء کو انھوں نے مسلمانانِ ہند کی نمائندگی کرتے ہوئے ہندوستانی پارلیمنٹ سے خطاب کیا۔ مسلمانانِ ہند اور پاکستان کی جانب سے ہندوستان کو آزادی کی مبارک باد پیش کی۔ دسمبر 1947ء میں وہ پاکستان مسلم لیگ کے پہلے صدر منتخب ہوئے۔ وہ مشرقی پاکستان کے گورنر بھی رہے اور انڈونیشیا اور فلپائن میں پاکستان کے سفیر کی حیثیت سے بھی خدمات سر انجام دیتے رہے۔ انھوں نے جدوجہد ِ آزادی کے موضوع پر "Pathway to Pakistan" کے نام سے ایک کتاب بھی تحریر کی۔ جس کا اردو ترجمہ ’’شاہراہ ِ پاکستان‘‘ کے نام سے شائع ہوا۔ 18 مئی 1973ء کو چوہدری خلیق الزماں کراچی میں انتقال کر گئے اور میوہ شاہ کے قبرستان میں آسودۂ خاک ہوئے۔

SUPER great denim-should last for years!

lI don't know if these will be flattering on me, but I LOVE THEM. They're hip and cool and I will wear them although I am 65. Would look best with shorter shirts, but of course, not showing belly. A slim young woman would "kill" this look. Denim is heavy duty and all hardware top class. The ad said to size down, but I ordered my regular size. The waist is a little tight on me, but the barrel legs are loose and hang nicely. Definitely something I will wear with platform ankle boots or sneakers. I anticipate people will absolutely love them (younger folk) where people my age, may say hmmm because they are a statement piece.
