「開舖！活字印刷師傅的一天」邀請你走進當代印藝•中環活字館，深入了解由多位退休師傅捐贈的珍藏，一探昔日香港印刷業的黃金時代。
你將了解活字印刷業的基礎知識，並能近距離觀賞古董海德堡風喉照鏡印刷機的運作。活動將設手搖活版印刷體驗，你可印製紀念卡，親手感受這段歷史的重量！

2014年，在中環鴨巴甸街營運榮安印刷公司多年的林安師傅榮休，將珍貴的印刷機、活字及文件託付予我們，標記著活字印藝保育成為我們的重要工作。我們透過研究、口述歷史訪問和公眾工作坊等形式，致力保育及推廣這項非物質文化遺產 。

We’re open! What was a family-run print shop like in 1970s Hong Kong? And how did a letterpress printer spend a typical day?
𝙒𝙚’𝙧𝙚 𝙊𝙥𝙚𝙣! 𝘼 𝙇𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙋𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧’𝙨 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘿𝙖𝙮 invites you into the Open Press to explore a unique collection generously donated by retired master printers, offering a glimpse into the golden age of Hong Kong’s letterpress printing industry.
You will learn the fundamentals of letterpress printing, watch a vintage Heidelberg Windmill Press in action up close, and take part in a hands-on session using an Adana Printing Machine to create your own letterpress card.

Since 2014, when Mr. Lam On of Wing On Printing Press retired and entrusted us with his machines, movable type and archival materials, the preservation of letterpress printing has become a core mission. Through research, oral history interviews and public workshops, we aim at promoting this intangible cultural heritage.
