From Russian court to the mountains of Tibet, and from the laboratories of Pittsburgh to the salons of Park Avenue, the extraordinary career of the artist and entomologist Andrey Avinoff (1884-1949) has never been surveyed in its entirety. Avinoff created a rich body of effusive, fantastical, Symbolist watercolor paintings that express yearnings both mystical and homoerotic, exploding beyond the strictures of his equally esteemed entomological research ("I bow to scientific fact until five o'clock," he once declared. "After that I may have other ideas"). Andrey Avinoff: In Pursuit of Beauty accompanies the first exhibition devoted to this visionary in more than 50 years. Reproducing botanical illustrations, Symbolist watercolors, apocalyptic scenes, dance subjects and homoerotic drawings (many of which the artist made for his friend Alfred Kinsey), it elaborates the work through Avinoff's identity as a gay man and situates him firmly within the culture of Russia's bountiful Silver Age.Binding Type: Paperback

Fantastic Product
I bought these hangers to mount my speakers. They are heavy duty, has a curl at the end to keep the speakers from falling off, and I was able to mount them and have clearance underneath. Awesome!!

Does it's purpose with style
We used these in our pantry and dining room for shelves and they turned out well. The only reason they are hard to install is because of the design (which is very nice) so it is worth it. It just takes time when you you are hanging the shelves, to do it correctly. While they can hold a lot, we realized that a bunch of cans or jars cannot go on these shelves. Luckily we had another option for heavy items (Example: We had about 40ish pounds of cans/jars on a 1x12 board that is 33 inches long with 2 of these brackets...and it was too much). If you do not need to hold a lot of weight, these shelves are a for sure, for the price and quality. If you NEED they for something heavy, then you probably will have to go with something more practical from a hardware store. We LOVE them for our pantry!

Worked as intended
Hubby used these to mount a shelf above a long span of windows. They worked great and allowed a clean visual appearance.

Nice brackets
These are nice sturdy brackets for butcher block shelf however they do bend a bit. We installed in a corner so was able to pin to side wall no problems on big shelf. The smaller shelf about 18” moves a bit up and down when loading. Now very little and no worries about it but not rock solid
