The Tamiya 1/35 West German Leopard A4 Tank (35112) reproduces the Leopard 1 in its A4 production variant — the definitive Bundeswehr Leopard 1 configuration, incorporating the fully-enclosed, spaced-armour turret that replaced the earlier cast turret. The A4 was the final and most numerous Leopard 1 variant built for the Bundeswehr, serving as West Germany's main battle tank through the crucial decades of the Cold War alongside the British Chieftain and American M60.
Tamiya's 1/35 kit captures the Leopard 1A4's characteristic angular all-welded turret, 105mm L7 gun, and Bundeswehr running gear with accurate Cold War-era detail.
Kit highlights:
- Accurate Leopard 1A4 with all-welded angular turret
- 105mm L7 rifled gun and spaced-armour turret faithfully reproduced
- Detailed Bundeswehr running gear and track assembly
- West German NATO marking options
- The definitive Leopard 1 — a key NATO Cold War MBT
Please note: Cement and paints required, sold separately.
