Jade Pillar Boxwood is a compact evergreen shrub that forms a upright habit of deep rich green leaves that gains bronze tones over its green in winter.  Small clusters of green-cream flowers bloom in spring.  Prefers part shade and well-drained soils, as it is prone to burning if planted in full sun.  Drought tolerant once established. 

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low maintenance.  Some susceptibility to blight and leaf spots. Root rot can be a problem in poorly drained soils.  The main pests are leaf miners, psyllids and mites.  New growth is susceptible to winter damage.
