The album was born from a song written especially for my dear friend, pianist CRISTINA BARBUTI, and from her personal experience. I tried to empathize with her, with her almost sudden hearing loss and all that ensued in her life. I composed the piece "Sounds Of The Night" for solo piano, thinking of a music of the night (A Nocturne) with its muffled, slow, distant, confused sounds. From there I composed 11 more, incorporating a synthesizer sound as external sounds, always inherent to the night. The album is therefore composed of a main piano solo piece (Che verrà alla fine), 11 piano and synthesizer pieces, a sort of metamorphosis of the various nights that inexorably pass. The pieces are of varying length, broken phrases like an inverse canon, to then define themselves in the main piece that gives its name to the whole.
