Chrysanthos SG213 Superior Clear Glaze is a lead-free clear glaze for use on bisque-fired clay that has been painted with underglazes, or simply over undecorated clay to show off its natural colour. Once fired correctly the ware will be sealed and protected from moisture / discolouration caused by contact with food and liquids.
- Firing range between Cone 06 (999°C) – Cone 03 (1,101°C).
- Gloss finish.
- Food safe if fired correctly.
- This glaze will fire transparent. The coloured appearance is intended to assist application by highlighting which areas have been glazed.
- Apply 3 coats with a soft brush. Ensure each coat is dry before applying subsequent coats.
- May also be sponged, sprayed and thinned with clean water if necessary to improve glaze flow.
- Best applied on bisque that has been fired between cone 04 (1,060°C) and cone 03 (1,101°C) - slightly higher than the glaze temperature.
- Colours are intermixable within the range.
- Always refer to the bottle for all hazards and safety instructions.
