Perched at 2,000 meters in the Blue Mountains of South India, Billimalai Tea Estate—fondly called “Goat Mountain”—has been crafting exquisite teas for over a century using sustainable farming practices. The high altitude and cool winter air slow the growth of the tea leaves, concentrating their flavors and aromas.
Among its finest offerings is the Winter Frost Black Tea, produced in limited batches during the coldest months when the frost-laden air enhances the leaves, infusing them with a crisp vibrancy that defines the essence of Nilgiri winters.
Handpicked at dawn, the leaves undergo gentle withering, precise rolling, and slow oxidation to coax out their nuanced flavors. The result is an elegant, aromatic cup brimming with sweet tropical fruit notes, delicate florals, and a refreshing wintergreen finish—a taste of winter’s magic from the misty Nilgiris.
