"Samuel R. Delany is not only one of the most profound and courageous writers at work today, he is a writer of seemingly limitless range." -- Michael Cunningham, author of The Hours This Stonewall Book Award-winning novel traces the life and unrealized dreams of Arnold Hawley, a homosexual African-American poet. Albert's poetry ultimately meets with modest acclaim but only after decades of striving. Romance and friendship are likewise elusive, despite an impulsive marriage to a stranger. His outsider status -- black, gay, and a poet -- compounds his struggles to create art, to find a readership, and to lead a meaningful existence.Beautifully written in reverse chronological order, the story opens with Albert's lonely old age and ventures back in time to his arrival in New York City of the 1950s. A meditation on isolation and sexual repression, Dark Reflections also offers an acerbic look at the literary world and the frustrations intrinsic to artistic life. "One of the most honest books I've ever read about the martyrdom of the writer in the contemporary world. Samuel Delany, who had entertained readers for decades with his rich fantasies, now gives us the truth and nothing but the truth. At certain points I wanted to put this book down because it was so sad -- but I couldn't because I was so enjoyable by its spare beauty and its searing frankness." -- Edmund White, author of A Boy's Own Story "Among the most detailed, thoughtful, and heartbreaking portrayals of a writer's life." -- Los Angeles Review of Books

💲Good Value💲
Size: Large, Color: Pink Colored Dots
Purchased three in large, nice cut and fit, attractive colors/patterns, excellent price point, moderate weight material. From a few feet away these shirts look as good as a $100 polo. Under close inspection they are still nice but not designer quality. That’s fine, as the intended purpose is for golf in the Florida heat. Unlikely to shrink or fade as the material is synthetic. Economical and attractive shirts especially if you don’t care about designer labels. Hope this review was useful/helpful. ☮️

Great shirt for a great price
Size: Large, Color: White Golf Clubs
Love this shirt and ordered and received one more already. Also, lots of patterns and colors. Lightweight, perfect fit and collar holds up nicely. Has an SPF 50 to protect you when you’re out in the sun, even though it’s a lightweight shirt. It is breathable and has the quick dry wicking feature. Price is great. Highly recommend.

Nice overall
Size: Large, Color: Red Flower
Great looking shirt even though collar is not especially stable. Seem like it will be durable. The one thing I have noticed about these moisture wicking shirts is they don’t seem to be especially breathable which leads too more moisture. Good fit, great color and cut just right for a guy who is no longer like Big John, “broad at the shoulders and narrow at the hips” with a tail just right for the untucked look.

Fantastic shirt for the big and tall man
Size: 4X-Large, Color: White Peak
We bought multiple shirts from Obla recently in different colors/prints. They are an incredible value for the price. The material is so nice, and they wash up well. The collar is more structured, and makes the shirt more polished looking. My 6'5" 300lb husband was very comfortable and looked great in the 4XL. Would highly recommend this brand, and will be customers for life!

Cool, Comfortable, and Perfect for the Course
Size: Large, Color: White Colored Dots
This golf polo is a great mix of comfort and performance. The dry-fit fabric keeps you cool and dry, even on warm days, and the material feels lightweight and breathable.
It has a clean, modern look that works well on the golf course or for casual wear. The fit is comfortable and moves easily with you. Overall, a solid, stylish polo at a great value.
