2014 release. First vinyl LP edition by Dutch sound and visual artist Paul Panhuysen since 1986. In terms of sound art, Paul Panhuysen is well-known for his long string installations, yet he has produced a vast amount of other sound installations using different materials and sound sources ranging from various instruments to animals such as birds. This LP contains a recording of the installation "Pendulum Change Ringing", displayed at Pand Koloniale Waren in Hasselt (Belgium) in 2012. The installation consists of twelve engraved Turkish metal platters, each mounted onto a black plastic bin, and placed in a 20-meter long row. The rim of each platter is hit by a metal pendulum operated by a tiny electromotor. Each hit causes the platter to resonate with a rich sound texture full of dissonant overtones. During the recording, the twelve pendulums are activated one after the other. The paces at which they swing differ due to their rods having different lengths. This causes interlocking rhythmic patterns to emerge that become more complex with each step and never stay the same. Hits aggregate into clusters, then thin out again. The sound is not chaotic, yet it's regularity is hard to comprehend. My Lexi loves them!

I myself have never tasted them or chewed them, but my dog Lexi goes crazy over them. I insert them into her chew toy puzzle and she is in heaven! the quality is good. the only problem with them is that my Lexi loves them so much! he is constantly bringing her chew toy over for a refill. again! Lets do it again!

Best dog toys for active dogs!

A while ago we bought the ball bone toy for our dog but after trips to 4 different pet stores we were unable to find the replacement rings. Imagine my joy when I found them on Amazon for about $5! It's money well spent, our dog is happy and so are we! They are long lasting (about an hour for our most determined dog) and are easy to replace in the toy. Word of caution, sometimes bits of the treats get stuck in the grooves of the toy or under the ball, make sure you take the whole thing apart and wash it well before replacing the treats. So far this is the BEST toy to distract our curious overactive pup. We'll keep buying them. Look at this happy pup!

Longer Lasting than most things I've tried

I bought these to go on the PetSafe Bouncy Bone which I had bought for my Australian Shepherd/Vizsla mix puppy who chews everything. We had gone through so many "long-lasting" chew toys/bones that really lasted only about 10 minutes and I was looking for something to occupy his time a little longer. These do the trick. Although they still don't last super long, they take a little more effort and keep him distracted a bit longer than anything else edible that I've tried. To me they are a bit pricey, so I try to make them last by only putting one on at a time, instead of one on each end of the toy. I also tighten the ends pretty tight to make it more difficult for him to get at the entire ring. If you don't mind the price, these are an easy and convenient way to keep your dog busy.
