Rear Bar Pin Flag Nut - Jeep Cherokee XJ 4WD (1984-2001)

Though production ceased nearly 20 years ago, the Jeep XJ remains one of the most popular 4x4 SUV's in the off-road market, but despite its classic design and fan-favorite status, there's still room for improvement. The XJ's rear upper shock mount bolts are notorious for breaking off due to the bar pin system and age of the vehicle. When this bolt breaks, there is no way to secure a shock or bar pin eliminator. This can cause a lot of frustration, especially if you're installing a lift kit and encounter this problem near the end of the install. Rough Country's XJ Rear Bar Pin Flag Nut eliminates this problem, offering a much easier system for replacing the broken bolt and lining everything up correctly. To install, simply knock out the factory nuts welded in the unibody, slide Rough Country's Bar Pin Flag Nut into the unibody hole, and use the flag nut handle to easily line up your new mounting point within the unibody recess. This innovative design saves hours of undue stress and makes it much easier to mount a shock or bar pin eliminator. Plus, if you manage to break a bolt on Rough Country's XJ Bar Pin Flag Nut kit, it is much easier to replace. Ships with new hardware and instructions.

I mounted it with a drawer pull

This wall mounted option met all my requirements, even though I feel it’s a bit pricey for just a small piece of wood and metal. It’s nicely finished and the shape will minimize leaving a dent in the padding of the headphones. I was worried that the color wouldn’t match my desk but luckily it was very close. Based on other reviews I didn’t trust the adhesive. Instead of drilling a hole into my desk I thought I would try attaching it with one of the drawer pulls. The hole of the wall hanger was just a millimeter too small for the screw of the drawer pull, but a quick mod with my power drill and it fits perfectly. I’m glad I didn’t drill into my desk, and if the position ends up inconvenient I can easily swap it to a different drawer. I would highly recommend this product.

Good, but seeing a lot of inconsistent user photos. Some have extra racks or a little knob for cables. Some mount with the bracket pointing downward (you can reverse it if you want) and with two screws. Also, the block I got is a dull poopy brown instead of the bright & vibrant brown on the photos of the product page & box. Understandable, I suppose-- given the nature of wood. Plastic/metal would certainly be more consistent, but I wanted this to match my black & wood aesthetic of my office. Luck of the draw on the shade of brown that I got, I guess. As nice as this hanger looks and as convenient as it is, the dull color is enough to make me want to just leave my headphones in the desk drawer when not in use. A drawer protects the headphones from dust as well. I don't live at my PC, so having them stowed away when not in use makes more sense for me. I didn't really think this though and got a lemon of a color. Likely a return.
