From one of the most iconic actors in the history of film, an astonishingly revelatory account of a creative life in fullTo the wider world, Al Pacino exploded onto the scene like a supernova. He landed his first leading role, in The Panic in Needle Park, in 1971, and by 1975, he had starred in four movies—The Godfather and The Godfather Part II, Serpico, and Dog Day Afternoon—that were not just successes but landmarks in the history of film. Those performances became legendary and changed his life forever. Not since Marlon Brando and James Dean in the late 1950s had an actor landed in the culture with such force.

But Pacino was in his mid thirties by then, and had already lived several lives. A fixture of avant-garde theater in New York, he had led a bohemian existence, working odd jobs to support his craft. He was raised by a fiercely loving but mentally unwell mother and her parents after his father left them when he was young, but in a real sense he was raised by the streets of the South Bronx, and by the troop of buccaneering young friends he ran with, whose spirits never left him. After a teacher recognized his acting promise and pushed him toward New York’s fabled High School of Performing Arts, the die was cast. In good times and bad, in poverty and in wealth and in poverty again, through pain and joy, acting was his lifeline, its community his tribe.

Sonny Boy is the memoir of a man who has nothing left to fear and nothing left to hide. All the great roles, the essential collaborations, and the important relationships are given their full due, as is the vexed marriage between creativity and commerce at the highest levels. The book’s golden thread, however, is the spirit of love and purpose. Love can fail you, and you can be defeated in your ambitions—the same lights that shine bright can also dim. But Al Pacino was lucky enough to fall deeply in love with a craft before he had the foggiest idea of any of its earthly rewards, and he never fell out of love. That has made all the difference.

There is an aspect of him that is like a lost orphan, like this kind of crazy idiot savant’ Diane Keaton‘As Michael in The Godfather, Pacino was everything I wanted that character to be on screen. I couldn’t believe it. It was, in my eyes, a perfect performance, a work of art’ Mario Puzo, author of The Godfather ‘Comedic, talented, and certifiably insane’ Johnny Depp‘Al is money, the man in charge, making it happen. I got to act with Al Pacino and it was worth more to me than anything’ Samuel L Jackson‘A marvellous actor and man’ Sean Connery‘The depth of Al Pacino's artistry is only more overwhelmed by the generosity of his spirit and his warmth. If you have sensitive skin and dont want premium prices, Cremo’s body wash is an excellent option A+
Scent: Palo Santo, Size: 16 Fl Oz (Pack of 1), Scent: Palo Santo, Size: 16 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Cremo’s body wash for men has become a staple in our household. The product exudes a luxurious feel, from the rich lather to the clean, long-lasting scent that genuinely resembles a more expensive fragrance. This body wash possesses a pleasant aroma of cardamom, papyrus, and most notably, palo santo. It features a warm, woody, and spicy scent, which is one of my preferred fragrance notes. Notably, the scent is strong without being overpowering. Additionally, I appreciate the aesthetic appeal of the bottle. The exquisite and vintage-inspired packaging complements the fragrance effectively. What truly sets Cremo’s body wash apart is its gentle nature. I have sensitive skin and this body wash does not cause dryness or irritation. In fact, it leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth, which is not always the case with other brands I have tried. The affordability of Cremo’s body wash is a significant advantage. It offers a high-end feel and fragrance without incurring excessive costs, making it an easy choice for repeat purchases. If you or your family have sensitive skin or simply desire a pleasant scent without paying premium prices, Cremo’s body wash is an excellent option. Highly Recommended. 5/5 Stars.

Beat the Humidity with This Citrus Powerhouse
Scent: Bergamot, Size: 16 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
In the middle of a brutal, humid Philippine summer, finding a body wash that actually boosts your confidence is a game-changer. Cremo’s Italian Bergamot isn’t just a soap; it’s a full olfactory experience. It opens with a vibrant, tart Italian bergamot that immediately cuts through the heat, followed by the freshness of vetiver, and the neroli blossom adds a sophisticated floral touch. True to Cremo’s Reserve collection, the scent is beautifully layered. It builds in intensity as you lather, allowing the earthy, fresh vetiver to anchor the citrus. Unlike many drugstore options, this lingers—stepping out of the shower, you can still catch the crisp citrus and the clean, woody dry-down on your skin. It’s the ultimate reset for a hot day.

I Smell Like a Gentleman Who Owns a Fireplace
Scent: Bourbon Oak, Size: 16 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
The fragrance is warm, woody, and slightly sweet...that low amber note that smells expensive without trying to smell expensive, which, as we all know, is the actual expensive smell. My wife walked past me twenty minutes post-shower and said, unprompted, "You smell really good." I nodded like I had planned this. The lather is genuinely rich; squeeze a modest amount and it blooms into a thick, creamy foam that covers everything efficiently. The texture is silky rather than watery, which matters more than people admit. Watery body washes feel like rinsing off with slightly scented regret. This one feels intentional. It cleans, and your skin actually feels clean afterward, not just rinsed. And the moisturizing? I wasn't expecting it. No greasy film, no lotion-begging dry patches by midday. Just quietly softer skin that doesn't make a big announcement about it. Now, my honest gripe: the scent longevity has a ceiling. By mid-afternoon you're back to neutral. That's the gap between four stars and five for me. For daily freshness and an incredible morning window of smelling genuinely great, it absolutely delivers...but it won't carry you to bedtime. On value: 16 fl oz is decent, the lather is efficient so the bottle lasts, and the price sits in that sweet spot where you feel like someone who makes slightly elevated but still reasonable choices, which is exactly the vibe this entire product is going for.
