On February 28, 2020, Canadian singer- songwriter, Taylor Ashton will releasehis debut solo album e Romantic on Signature Sounds. Heralded for his "rich, compelling voice" (Exclaim! Magazine), Ashton released four albums of heady progressive folk with the Vancouver- based Fish & Bird before moving to New York City in 2015. For a solo debut, e Romantic is wonderfully collaborative and nds Ashton working with di erent players from song to song. Ashton writes, " e album is like a supernaturally good party - the musical conversation ows naturally, di erent people come andgo who bring di erent energies but itkeeps a consistent tone. Ematically, e Romantic is a document of Ashton's identity as an expatriate Canadian living in the U.S., "processing change and loss and seeing the beautiful painful passage of time, from twelve di erent angles." With his solo debut, Ashton brings his wide-ranging and richly textured folk-pop to a larger audience, appealing to an equally wide-range of fans from traditional old-time music to Harry Nilsson, Joni Mitchell, and Bill Withers.1. No gory details.
Format: Paperback
While the “Donner Party” is a very disturbing topic from US history, I feel this book gently writes through the gory bits but keeps relevant to the suffering of those on Oregon Trail which makes this very suitable for young readers.

Engaging and Different!
Format: Hardcover
Looking for a new kid's author to try now that Harry Potter has retired to a quiet life out of the spotlight? Try Stuart Gibbs. His first novel, Belly Up, is an engaging mix of mystery, humor, and adventure (as well as lots of trivia about the animal kingdom ranging from the fascinating to the . . . well, I'll let you read the book!) The story takes place at FunJungle, a huge new zoo/amusement park filled with many colorful characters. When the not-so-loveable mascot of the park, Henry the Hippo, turns up (literally) dead one day, only 12-year old Teddy, the son of two zoo employees, recognizes that this was no random event and begins his investigation only to find himself a target.
The book is perfect for the 5th-8th grade crowd (although very enjoyable for us grown-ups who haven't quite grown up yet and still love well-crafted young adult titles). I'll definitely be following his next book (not a sequel to this but an adventure based on the Three Musketeers when they were younger) which looks like will be available this fall.

Amazing but one problem
Format: Kindle
I LOVE this book but the one problem is that there are curse words. I'm 12 and I'm aware that Stuart Gibbs curses but I feel like in this particular book he cursed a lot more than he
usually does but other than that I absolutely LOVED reading this I will get the whole series for sure! If you already have read this whole series and want to read more I highly recommend spy school ( all of them there are I believe 13 of them) and space case.
