The lovely flowers are a reminder of the freshness of new life and the hope and promise of Spring. Hummingbirds symbolize deep qualities, despite their small size.  They are known for their tenacity and strength, flying thousands of miles to migrate. They are also fierce defenders of their homes, and will protect their patch of garden with the energy of a much larger animal. 

The ability that Hummingbirds have in flight are unparalleled. They can hover, zoom faster than the eye can see, and even fly backward! This makes them a symbol of ingenuity and skill even though they are some of the smallest birds in the avian world.
