The clip features a red lacquered diamond card suit, a symbol of gambling and playing cards, and the cone is engraved with a pattern inspired by Princess Aouda's jewelry and the card suits. The cap top is embossed with the length of the journey, 25 days from Bombay to Yokohama and 80 days in total. The writing instrument is finished with a hand-crafted 18K gold nib garnished with the hot air balloon with 20/10 and 14/11: Mr Fogg leaves Bombay at 20:00 on 20 October and leaves Yokohama at 18:00 on 14 November.
