A century after her birth, Tillie Olsen's writing is as relevant as when it first appeared; indeed, the clarity and passion of her vision and style have, if anything, become even more striking over time. Collected here for the first time are several of Olsen's nonfiction pieces about the 1930s, early journalism pieces, and short fiction, including the four beautifully crafted, highly celebrated stories originally published as Tell Me a Riddle: "I Stand Here Ironing," "Hey Sailor, What Ship?," "O Yes," and "Tell Me a Riddle." Also included, for the first time since it appeared in the 1971 Best American Short Stories, is "Requa I." In these stories, as in all of her work, Olsen set a new standard for the treatment of women and the poor and for the depiction of their lives and circumstances. In her hands, the hard truths about motherhood and marriage, domestic life, labor, and political conviction found expression in language of such poetic intensity and depth that its influence continues to be felt today. An introduction by Olsen's granddaughter, the poet Rebekah Edwards, and a foreword by her daughter Laurie Olsen provide a personal and generational context for the author's work. Tillie Olsen (1912-2007) was an activist, feminist, award-winning author, and teacher who won nine honorary degrees and whose short stories "Tell Me a Riddle" (winner of the O. Henry Award) and "I Stand Here Ironing" have been anthologized extensively. She is the author of the novel Yonondio: From the Thirties, available in a Bison Books edition, the nonfiction book Silences, and numerous published essays and is the editor of Mother to Daughter, Daughter to Mother: Mothers on Mothering.Binding Type: Paperback

Excellent lumbar support and easy assembly
I bought this chair because of my lower back pain, and it has been very comfortable to use. The leather feels soft, and the lumbar support is excellent. Assembly was easy, and the tools included, especially the screwdriver design were very well thought out, which made the whole setup process much easier.

Excellent Comfort and Great Value for a Home Office
Color: Elegant Grey, Color: Elegant Grey
I am extremely happy with this office chair and feel it offers excellent value for the price. The chair was easy to assemble, and all the parts fit together perfectly. Once assembled, it feels sturdy, stable, and well-made.
The high-back design provides outstanding support for my back, neck, and shoulders. The seat cushion is thick and comfortable, making it easy to sit for long periods while working, studying, or gaming. The padded headrest adds extra comfort, and the faux leather material looks stylish and gives the chair a premium appearance.
One of my favorite features is the flip-up armrests. They are comfortable to use and make it easy to slide the chair under my desk when I need extra space. The height adjustment, smooth swivel, and rocking function all work well and allow me to find the perfect sitting position throughout the day.
The chair arrived exactly as described and exceeded my expectations in both comfort and appearance. It looks great in my home office and has made long work sessions much more enjoyable. If you're looking for a comfortable, attractive, and affordable office chair, I highly recommend this product. I would definitely purchase it again and would gladly give it five stars.
