Structures of Indifference: An Indigenous Life and Death in a Canadian CityStructures of Indifference examines an Indigenous life and death in a Canadian city, and what it reveals about the ongoing history of colonialism. At the heart of this story is a thirty four hour period in September 2008. Structures of Indifference examines an Indigenous life and death in a Canadian city, and what it reveals about the ongoing history of colonialism. At the heart of this story is a thirty-four-hour period in September 2008. During that day and half, Brian Sinclair, a middle-aged, non-Status Anishinaabeg resident of Manitoba's capital city, arrived in the emergency room of the Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg's major downtown hospital, was left untreated and unattended to, and ultimately died from an easily treatable infection. His death reflects a particular structure of indifference born of and maintained by colonialism. McCallum and Perry present the ways in which Sinclair, once erased and ignored, came to represent diffuse, yet singular and largely dehumanized ideas about Indigenous people, modernity, and decline in cities. This story tells us about ordinary indigeneity in the City of Winnipeg through Sinclair's experience and restores the complex humanity denied him in his interactions with Canadian health and legal systems, both before and after his death. Structures of Indifference completes the story left untold by the inquiry into Sinclair's death, the 2014 report of which omitted any consideration of underlying factors, including racism and systemic discrimination.--Sherene H. Beautiful colorful dress
Size: XX-Large, Color: Hot Pink Leafy Floral Ditsy
This dress has beautiful, heavy fabric so it falls nicely but still has nice stretch. It is lightweight and comfortable. I’m 5’3” and it falls about mid-calf on me. I would definitely recommend this dress to others. I believe it fits true to size.

Simply Lovely and Versatile
Size: Large, Color: Navy
I bought this in navy for a family photo shoot. It's good quality, travels well (medium weight; no wrinkles) and works in all but really hot weather. I also wore it as a duster a few days later. As a result, I returned to purchase the emerald green.

So close!
Size: XX-Large, Color: Navy
This dress exceeded my expectations, but the deal breaker for me is no pockets! I can't believe I missed that.
The fabric is impressive for polyester. It seems relatively breathable, and it's a very nice mid weight that flows and drapes well. It is smooth and conceals lumps and bumps. The buttons are well made, and the placket does not gap. I ordered the navy blue and it's exactly as expected.
Size XXL is exactly right for me at 48/40/50 and 5'6". It hits about 4" below my knee. I would prefer shorter at the knee for easier to wear as a duster.
I wish it had pockets!

Classic dress at a great price
Size: Medium, Color: Black Ivory Geometric
I was shocked, in the best way when I received this dress as the material is thick and heavy. I was looking for a dress that I could take on business trips that was comfortable, stylish and didn't wrinkle. This dress checked all the boxes. It's a classic style that will never go out of style.
