This piece came about thanks to Marija Tiurina's DTIYS challenge in March of 2025. She suggested we render a character that maybe looks a little bit like us and is carrying a favorite plant of ours out of winter and into the spring. My character is wearing the blue hat and scarf my brother bought me for Christmas, carrying a cutting of sunny forsythia (a plant I swoon for), and accompanied by a gold-green Indian white-eye. (These birds are not native to where I live and don't, as far as I know, share the same climate as forsythia, but art, I always think, is allowed to take a few liberties! ;))

Heads do not click in place
I got this flosser for an upcoming trip, but it is way to big. Would take up entirely too much room in my carry on. Whats more, the heads on the device do not click into place, which means it leaks and sprays all over. I took the plastic guard off one of the heads and that works better but it still leaks. I have done everything except hammer the heads in, but still, they do not click or twist into place. I cannot vouch for how well it works since I am unable to keep the heads on.
