how to install Da-Lite Polacoat Rear Projection Screen (Da-Plex)

Installing a Da-Lite Polacoat rear projection screen is straightforward when you plan for the room’s layout, projector placement, and mounting strategy. Start by evaluating the room to determine the best mounting approach—ceiling mount is common for rear projection, but wall mounting can work in tight spaces if the projector can be positioned behind the screen without obstruction. Before you begin, gather the manufacturer-recommended mounting hardware and tools, including brackets, screws, studs or anchors appropriate for your wall material, a level, a measuring tape, and a helper to assist with lifting and positioning the screen.

Step-by-step guidance:

  • Measure the available wall or ceiling area to confirm the screen size and aspect ratio you plan to install. Confirm that there is adequate space behind the screen for projection hardware and cabling.
  • Choose the mounting surface and hardware according to the screen size and weight. Use sturdy, appropriate anchors or studs to ensure a secure installation that supports the entire screen framework.
  • Mark the mounting locations with precision. Use a level to ensure the mounting brackets are perfectly horizontal so the screen sits square and aligned with the projector image.
  • Attach the mounting hardware to the wall or ceiling per the manufacturer’s instructions. Double-check that all fasteners are tight and that the brackets are securely anchored before hanging the screen.
  • Affix the screen to the mounting frame or wall hardware, ensuring the rear-projection side is oriented correctly for projector placement. Align the screen so that the projected image aligns with the viewing area and exits the screen evenly without distortion.
  • Route projector cables cleanly and safely, keeping power and data lines separated to minimize interference. If you’re using a ceiling mount, secure cables along the joists or an established cable management path.
  • Perform a calibration pass with your projector. Adjust focus, keystone correction, brightness, and contrast to optimize image quality for the room’s ambient light conditions. Verify uniform brightness across seating areas and confirm viewing angles meet your needs.
  • Test routine maintenance and cleaning guidelines. Use a soft, dry or lightly damp microfiber cloth to remove dust and fingerprints. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that could affect the diffusion coating or screen surface.
  • Document the installation setup for future maintenance or reconfiguration. Record the screen size, mounting type, and projector distance to simplify future adjustments or upgrades.

Great vacuum!!
Style: L50 SES
I love this vacuum. I had to work a little to get the map right for it, but it is great. We have allergies and it helps so much and saves so much time. It does take a while to do the whole house, but I have it programmed to run while we are at work and it’s so nice to come home to a freshly vacuumed house.

Eufy dropped the ball on this vacuum
Style: L50 SES
I’ll start by saying the reason I purchased this vacuum, is because I have a Eufy 25c robot vacuum that is very dependable. I decided I wanted an upgrade because the 25C was great for cleaning, but I had to empty it way too often. I just knew I would love the L50 SES. I thought it was just what I was looking for a self emptying robot vacuum with a 60 day fill capacity. Allowing 2 months before I needed to touch my vacuum. Here’s where things went wrong. I never got a chance to test the vacuum because it wouldn’t connect to my WiFi and I tried everything. Now this wouldn’t have been a problem if the L50 came with a remote control like the 25C. Unfortunately I had to rely on the App and since the L50 couldn’t connect to my WiFi, I couldn’t control the vacuum. The reason I gave 2 stars is because the customer service at Eufy is awesome. I was given the option to replace the vacuum with a new one but after researching the L50 i decided to return it for a refund. Apparently this model has a defect, because I found so many negative reviews about the same issue with the same model. The thing is I never read reviews because I have a Eufy smart scale, 25C robot vacuum and an Eufy security system and everything works perfectly. So in the end I purchased a Shark Matrix Self emptying robot vacuum and a Shark self emptying stick vacuum. If Shark’s vacuum preforms well, Eufy might have lost a valued customer. I hope this review helps someone make a informed decision. By the way Eufy self emptying vacuum needs replacement bags and the Shark Matrix robot vacuum doesn’t need bags. I will say the suction and design on the Eufy L50 SES was great.

Much better than the old model.
Style: L50 SES
I had an old s11 that finally died. This one is much better. It maps the house and follows a snake pattern. Once the mapping is finished you can select what rooms you want to clean. I like the self emptying feature. Plenty of battery life.

Good performance, flaky Wi-Fi connection
Style: L50 SES
The L50 physically works great - it does a good job of picking up dust and dirt at the end of the day. The pathfinder and route planning algorithm is fairly efficient at determining the best way to clean a room. Sometimes it kicks around bits of dust with its spinning brush without picking it up, but it's not often. What has been terrible, however, is the Wi-Fi support. Since our provider disabled 2.4 GHz support from their router modem without notice, I use a Mac Mini to supply the 2.4 GHz signal, and even though the Eufy is next to it and my phone gets full signal strength, it still can't connect to it half the time. After it fails to connect, it needs to be restarted or even reset to try to get the connection again. Support doesn't seem to be helpful in offering a solution.

Perfect Replacement Roller Mop for Eufy Robot Vacuum
This replacement roller mop fits perfectly and works just like the original. Installation was quick and easy, and the quality feels durable and well-made. It does an excellent job picking up dust and light debris while providing consistent floor cleaning performance. The roller is washable, easy to maintain, and holds up well after multiple cleaning cycles. I appreciate that it restores the robot’s cleaning effectiveness without any compatibility issues. If you own a compatible Eufy model and need a replacement, this is a reliable option that keeps your robot performing at its best. Highly recommended for maintaining optimal cleaning results.
