Yoto Says: The gothic tale of a misunderstood creature who searches for acceptance in a world that fears him. Retold by Yoto.
A Yoto Original adaptation of the classic novel by Mary Shelly. The perfect introduction to this haunting, classic story for young listeners. Brought to life by Yoto, with a little help from Frankenstein’s monster himself - featuring music, sound effects, and a full cast.
Victor Frankenstein is a brilliant and ambitious young scientist with one dream: to unlock the secret of life. But when he builds a living creature from lifeless parts, he is shocked and horrified by the monster he has created. Fearful and ashamed, Victor runs away, abandoning the lonely and confused creation to take care of itself.
As the creature attempts to figure out the world, he finds fear, rejection and cruelty from humankind. Devastated, confused and angered, the creature sets out to find his creator and get answers. But when the creator and his creation cross paths once more, it leads to a dangerous journey across land and sea...all the way to the icy Arctic. Will the creation’s quest for belonging lead to danger and heartache , or can he and Victor find a way to understand each other?
Follow along in this haunting story of ambition, regret and learning what it really means to be human.
A note from Yoto: Frankenstein is based on the original novel by Mary Shelley and touches on themes of life and death. It may be frightening for young or sensitive listeners.
