Global Gemology & Appraisals is an NAJA Accredited Gemological Laboratory, owned and operated by one of the gem and jewelry industry's most highly-credentialed experts. Scott Papper is a Graduate Gemologist (GIA), Certified Master Appraiser (NAJA), Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA), Registered Gemologist Appraiser (ISG), and Accredited Senior Gemologist (AGA), to name only a handful. Scott is a fourth generation gem and jewelry professional with experience as an independent appraiser, gemologist, jewelry buyer, pawnbroker, and expert witness. In addition to having performed appraisal services for both private clients and those within the trade, he has also been engaged as a subcontractor to assist with the valuation of jewelry and watches that have been confiscated by US government agencies, including the US Secret Service (USSS), the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and the US Coast Guard (USCG).
ABOUT THE ITEM
The Edwardian Era jewelry period lasted from 1901-1915. The era is named after King Edward VII, who became King of England after his mother, Queen Victoria, passed away. Edwardian jewelry is known for its airy filigree openwork and meticulous millegrain detailing.
This Edwardian Era antique brooch features a natural sapphire set in 14K white gold. The entire top of the brooch is embellished with hand-chased details, millegrain, and filigree work. The piece measures 23 x 8mm. Hallmarked "14K".

Wonderful book reassures little ones we are always with them, somehow

Purchased this book for my 6 year old grandson, whose family will be moving out of state within a year. This is a wonderful, touching books that lets children know that you are always thinking of them, loving them, and always there. My grandson can read the easy words and short sentences by himself, or have his parents read them to him. Very, very cute ways they relate everyday occurrences to us being there for our loved little ones. I highly recommend this book!

Reminds children they are loved by looking at nature!

This book is so great! I love how it reminds children that they are loved by simply looking at nature around them. For example: "That inviting ocean? That's me waving at you. That clap of thunder? That's me raving about you." So cute! The opening pages and closing pages show a mother & son together, but the in between pages show boys and girls. I kind of wish the cover wasn't so obviously a boy and his mom since I have a daughter, but it doesn't stop me from reading it to my kiddo. All in all, five stars! :)
