I approached this subject as I do with all my works. I observe and joyfully analyze the interesting shapes, values, colors. As I detail in my latest International Artist article, I knew that if I'm doing a Porsche 911, I better get it right. Why? Because my friend Ryan, who owns this car, has connections to thousands of Porsche owners and I'm sure they'll be viewing this Debut by Brown.
No, I don't paint to make others happy, but when a subject is uniquely individual, one wants to get it right..... in a personal, artistic way.
Well, from the first stroke, I was in a state of fascination. Totally intrigued by the combination of the Porsche's pure and bold aesthetics. In fact, that feel guided my hand with each pastel stroke. And there you have it. Harley
