How to install Belkin Universal 2nd Gen Secure KVM Switch

  • Prepare and plan your workspace. Identify the hosts (PCs or workstations) you will connect, the monitor(s) you will use in dual-head mode, keyboards, mice, and any CAC-enabled devices. Ensure you have the appropriate video cables and USB connections for each host, along with the CAC readers if required by your security policy.
  • Connect host computers to the KVM switch. For each connected host, attach the recommended video cables to the dual-head video ports, then connect USB peripherals (keyboard, mouse, and any required USB devices) to the KVM’s peripheral ports. If CAC-based authentication is part of your workflow, connect any CAC readers or smart card interfaces to the designated periphery on the KVM as instructed in your deployment guide.
  • Attach displays and input devices to the workstation. Connect your monitor(s) to the appropriate dual-head outputs on the KVM device. Plug your keyboard and mouse into the KVM’s universal peripheral ports. Confirm that each host is visible to the KVM and that the monitors reflect the correct display from the host you plan to use next.
  • Power up and configure initial settings. Power on the connected hosts and verify that the KVM switch recognizes each host. If your environment requires CAC-based switching, verify that the CAC reader and credentials are functioning as expected. Configure any on-device or software-based settings per your security policy, ensuring that switching between hosts locks down previous sessions and prevents data leakage.
  • Test switching and monitor a secure workflow. Practice switching between hosts to confirm that the active host controls the shared peripherals and displays properly. Validate that the CAC-based authentication remains intact during transitions and that no cross-enclave data transfer occurs when switching. Document the baseline for audits and future maintenance, and train users on proper secure-switch procedures to maximize efficiency without compromising security.

Great Product.
Color: Dark Blue, Size: 6.4-Quart - Deep
This is a great size, great value, holds heat. Made double recipe of Mac and cheese in it - brought it to a party and Mac and cheese was still warm. In glass it would have needed to be reheated. Also- looks awesome in my kitchen.

Great choice. Choose medium to small sizes for easy maneuver
Color: Cream, Size: 7.3-Quart - Deep
Love this Dutch oven. I bought a cream one. I recommend a dark color: it may be easy to clean, but it may retain some foods colors. I recommend a medium sized oven. I have the big one and it is too heavy to carry on and when using for baking, it can be tricky. I made stew and chunk roast beef and worked good. I would recommend a medium size for good handling. Also because smaller sizes may be easier to use in electric stoves as the glass can get damaged.

Beautiful pot
Color: Blue, Size: 6.4-Quart - Deep
I was a little bit skeptical buying a large Dutch oven at this price point, when the well known brand (that I won't name here) sell for at least 5x the cost. Ive never owned one at all, so unable to compare apples to apples. - Color and finish look great. Even better in person than the photos. - Its hefty. I was expecting it to be heavy, since last iron, but it feels like it is robust. - Cooking with it has been great so far - sauté veggies, add liquid and rice for fantastic Spanish rice. Some stirring needed to avoid sticking, but comparable to my non stick pans or better. The heavy mass of the Dutch oven dissipates heat more evenly. - The handles get pretty warm / hot during use even on stove top. Thats probably normal, since the pot and two handles are one continuous piece. Not a big deal. The small handle on lid stays night and cool. - Overall, this feels like a great purchase and will replace a lot of duties I was using various pans for. Time will tell how the durability is.
