About the Author
Susan Tan has lived many places in her life, but calls Concord, Massachusetts, home. After studying at Williams College, she earned her PhD from the University of Cambridge, where she studied children's literature. She currently lives in Somerville, enjoys frequent trips to Chinatown to eat tzuck sang, and teaches at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. Susan is the author of the Cilla Lee-Jenkins chapter book series, and the Pets Rule! early chapter book series. Visit her online at susantanbooks.com.
About the Illustrator
Wendy Tan Shiau Wei is a visual development and storyboard artist for animated series, advertising, and films, and an illustrator for children’s books and publishing. Her works are able to be found in TV commercials, radio stations, advertisements, shows, publishing, and fashion. Wendy loves telling stories through her works; storyboarding and comics are two of the ways she expresses her thoughts and feelings. Nice shoes!

I bought them in black and I like them so much I will be buying the brown soon. They fit true to size and are comfortable and stylish. I like the clean simplicity. They're basically a dressy sneaker which is perfect for my job's 'dress code'. Yet they're stylish enough to be worn weekends or a night out. They seemed just a touch stiff out of the box but IMO that's completely normal and fine - after just a couple days of wearing them they are breaking in nicely. No complaints on that. They seem to be of very high quality and I'm very happy with them.
