BRIDGE THE GAP IS:
Chad Jensen – Vocals and Guitar
Shon Foster – Bass and Backing Vocals
Ryan Thompson – Drums and Backing Vocals

Bridge The Gap is a group of friends who’ve been making music together since the 1990s. After putting their instruments down for a time to start families and pursue careers outside of music, the guys rekindled their connections around 2020. Vocalist/guitarist Chad Jensen went on a demoing binge with songs he’d been stockpiling during the intervening years, and when the other band members – bassist/vocalist Shon Foster and drummer/vocalist Ryan Thompson – heard them, everyone was inspired to start something anew. Thus, Bridge The Gap was born.

The band quickly reached out to Bill Stevenson (Descendents, ALL, Black Flag) to see if he’d be on board to produce their debut album, and soon found themselves in Ft. Collins, Colorado at his legendary studio The Blasting Room. What emerged was their debut full-length album, ‘Secret Kombinations’ – a record that captured punk rock lightning in a bottle and organically received universally positive reviews from the punk rock press and community with no official PR launch.

Bridge The Gap was so creatively inspired by working with Stevenson and Jason Livermore (Rise Against, Hot Water Music, NOFX) that they wanted to return as soon as possible to record 14 fresh songs. When Bridge The Gap returned to The Blasting Room to work with Stevenson and Livermore about 20 months later to record ‘Gainsayer’, it was a whole different ball game. As a band, the guys were now much more weathered and cohesive, and they had spent a lot of time in pre-production selecting the songs that would be on the record and crafting the arrangements and vocal melodies. The result of that second experience with Stevenson and Livermore is ‘Gainsayer’, which hits with power on a slightly deeper level than ‘Secret Kombinations’ and never lets up.

“On ‘Gainsayer’, Bridge The Gap specifically chose a 14-song collection that best featured some compelling melodic roots vocally,” explains Jensen. “The priority was solid, catchy melodies, and then the band built on it from there. Make no mistake, ‘Gainsayer’ features plenty of killer riffs, melodic, ripping solos, powerful, nuanced drumming, and bass lines galore. But the foundation of this record is the strength of the vocal melodies and the songs themselves. As a band, Bridge The Gap came out of its second trip to the Blasting Room flying high and champing at the bit to share ‘Gainsayer’ with the world.”

Unveiling the Depths of Christmas: A Riveting Exploration Beyond Biblical Narratives
Format: Hardcover
As a devout Christian with a penchant for insightful literature, I was captivated by 'Christmas: The Rest of the Story' the moment I laid eyes on it. This masterful work delves into the historical context surrounding the birth of Christ, offering a treasure trove of additional facts gleaned from meticulous research. The author's prose is as exquisite as the illustrations that adorn its pages, weaving a narrative that not only enriches our understanding of Christmas but also reaffirms the credibility of the biblical account. This book is more than just a read; it's a timeless keepsake, destined to be cherished and shared for generations to come. I wholeheartedly recommend it to fellow believers seeking deeper insights into the holiday's significance. Prepare to be enlightened and inspired!

Incredible reading
Format: Hardcover
I bought this just before Christmas when a guest speaker talked about it in our church. I immediately looked up and bought it right away. This is a quality book. Hard bound with heavy gloss paper and nice art inside and out. But the real value is inside. I couldn't put it down. If you've ever wanted to know more indepth details about the Christmas story, a detailed and true explanation of the birth of Jesus, this is the book to buy. It's worth every penny. If you've ever had questions like: why those shepherds? what made them so special? details about the "wise men", why do only Luke and Mark detail these events, why Nazareth? and so much more... buy the book! I took my book over my daughter's house for Christmas Eve with her and her kids + a few friends. They aren't all as familiar with scripture as my husband and I are, but I've insisted on continuing the tradition my mom started of reading the Christmas Story before we open any presents. I brought this book and told them a few things covered in the book... like where the manger was. When we left, I offered to leave the book if anyone wanted to look at it... one of the girls excitedly said she was hoping I would leave it. She really wanted to read it. I couldn't have been more thrilled. I would encourage anyone interested in this book to buy it, read it, and give it to someone else who will read it too. For the money, what a great witnessing tool! It's so factual, it will speak to those who are kind of "on the fence".

This book will forever be cherished and pasted on to my grandchildren. With all the wonderful illustrations and information that I have never known before. I am going to continue to be reading this book over and over because I love the opportunity of learning about Jesus with facts of history from an author who has done the research. I am planning on purchasing more to give as gifts.
