This lens consists of 11 aperture blades with a rounded shape so it can produce a beautiful blurred background or bokeh effect whilst maintaining sharpness - even after stopping down the aperture. The possibilities with the Irix 150mm lens don’t stop at Macro photography. The long focal length of 150mm also aids in a narrow viewing angle that is desired in advertising and portrait photography - with the advantage of hand-held use.
Intelligent Lens Design
Control the lens directly from your camera as the Irix 150mm comes with a module where Semi-automatic modes (PASM), and data recording EXIF format are available for you to use. The lens also features a focus confirmation system so you get notified by either an icon or sound when you set the focus correctly.
Ergonomic Design
The Dragonfly lens has been ergonomically designed from the inside-out to withstand changing weather conditions. The body has been constructed out of reinforced metal and composite metals making it extremely durable and scratch resistant. Irix have also ensured there is weather-sealing to protect against any dust, sand and moisture. Whether you’re in the Sahara Desert or exploring Antartica, this lens will rise to the challenge and continue to perform. The focus ring has a wide rubber handle with special convexity pressing. To facilitate precise focusing of the scale, with 270-degree rotation.

Focus Lock – Gives you the ability to lock the focussing ring in a chosen position which is helpful when you want to be sure you set the correct magnification ratio.
Tripod clamp with foot (Arca Swiss standard) - With this feature you can safely and securely attach your camera to the lens so you can achieve precision during macro photography. The centre of the gravity lens also remains neutral ensuring the vibrations from focusing and operation are minimized.
