Protect your critical equipment with a reliable, feature-rich UPS that combines powerful performance with flexible management. The Tripp Lite SmartPro 750VA line-interactive sine wave UPS delivers clean, consistent power for servers, network devices, telecommunications gear, and workstation setups. Designed to guard against blackouts, voltage sags, surges and spikes, this tower UPS offers scalable protection for small to mid-size IT environments while keeping your data protection seamless, predictable, and affordable. With a 120V output, 750VA / 500W rating, and a broad array of connectivity options, it’s built to fit into a variety of rack- or desk-mounted configurations and to work with existing monitoring software and hardware tools you already use.

  • Premium power protection with sine-wave output: Ensures smooth, clean 120V AC power to sensitive equipment, avoiding the glitches and unexpected shutdowns caused by rough or distorted power. The SmartPro’s sine-wave output is ideal for servers, storage devices, network switches, and VOIP/telecom gear, delivering professional-grade protection for critical workloads.
  • High-capacity, long runtime for essential devices: With 750 VA / 500 W capacity, the UPS provides generous runtime for a wide range of devices. Large internal batteries deliver approximately 15 minutes of runtime at half load and about 5 minutes at full load, giving you time to save work, close applications, and gracefully shut down systems during an outage. This balance of runtime and power ensures minimal downtime and data integrity even during power interruptions.
  • Intelligent line‑interactive topology with AVR: The line-interactive design stabilizes voltage fluctuations using Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR), boosting or trimming voltage to maintain safe levels without drawing on the battery unnecessarily. This protects connected equipment from minor surges and sags while preserving battery life for more significant outages.

Optional network management card support enables remote monitoring, configuration, and event alerts across your network, helping IT staff stay informed even when they’re not onsite.
  • Versatile protection for small data centers and workspaces: Tower form factor fits neatly under desks or into small server rooms. The UPS guards not only servers but also networking gear like routers, switches, modems, IP phones, and NAS devices, ensuring that critical services stay online during power disturbances. It’s a dependable, cost-efficient solution that scales with your growing infrastructure while delivering dependable, professional-grade protection.

How to install Tripp Lite SmartPro UPS

  • Place the UPS on a sturdy, level surface in a cool, dry area with adequate airflow. Leave at least a few inches of clearance for ventilation and access to outlets and ports.
  • Position the unit so the front panel is easily accessible for status indicators and any required button presses during setup or self-test.
  • Connect your critical devices to the battery-backed outlets on the UPS. Keep non-essential equipment on surge-only outlets if available to maximize battery runtime for essential loads.
  • Plug the UPS into a dedicated wall outlet that matches its 120V rating. Avoid using extension cords for primary power input to ensure stable performance and accurate input monitoring.
  • Connect USB and/or DB9 Serial cables to your computer or management station to enable monitoring, configuration, and graceful shutdown. If you’re using an optional network management card, install it according to the manufacturer’s instructions and connect it to your local network.
  • Power on the UPS and allow the internal battery to charge. Run a self-test from the management software or via the front-panel controls to verify proper operation and battery health.
  • Configure alert thresholds, shutdown settings, and alarm behavior to align with your IT policies. Enable automatic shutdown scripts if you have a server cluster or virtualization environment.
  • Regularly perform battery and self-tests to ensure the unit remains ready for outages. Periodic maintenance helps extend battery life and preserve reliable performance over time.

Frequently asked questions

  • What does 750VA / 500W mean for my equipment? The VA (volt-amps) rating indicates apparent power, while the W (watts) rating reflects real power. This UPS can supply up to 500 watts of continuous load, making it suitable for protecting a modest array of servers, switches, NAS devices, and telecom gear. When planning, size the load slightly below 500W to ensure safe operation and adequate margin for startup surges.
  • What is line-interactive sine-wave protection? Line-interactive UPS systems regulate voltage with an automatic voltage regulator (AVR) while running most devices on mains power. When the input is within a safe range, devices run directly off the AC line; when voltage deviates, the UPS provides clean, regulated sine-wave power, switching to battery only for significant outages. This approach balances efficiency, battery life, and protection quality for typical office and data-center workloads.
  • Can I monitor and manage this UPS remotely? Yes. The UPS includes USB and DB9 serial interfaces for local connection, and there are options for network management. With a compatible management card or software, you can monitor battery status, run self-tests, configure alerts, and trigger graceful shutdowns for connected equipment.
  • Is this UPS suitable for servers and network devices? Absolutely. With sine-wave output and a robust 120V supply, it protects servers, switches, routers, modems, NAS devices, and VoIP gear from power disturbances, ensuring data integrity and continuity of critical services.
  • How long will the battery last during an outage? Runtime varies with load. At half-load, you can expect around 15 minutes of backup power; at full-load, roughly 5 minutes. This provides enough time to save work, stop applications gracefully, and perform a controlled shutdown if needed.

Being true to yourself…
Format: Kindle
Fated mates is the only instalove that really makes sense to me. And this book has fated mates and awesome bonding with high emotions and feelings but didn’t go the way of instalove and I am here for it!! It was lovely to read about characters from A Pack of Her Own and to have that world grow and change. Very excited for the next book! I loved V and we got much more of Heather. They instantly connect and through that bond they each find the strength to be true to themselves and find what they what (and who) they need/want. Highly recommend this author and these books if you like fated mates and sapphic shifter romance!

Heather's story
Format: Paperback
3 stars - This is the second book in the Elena Abbott Shifters series. In Book Two, we get to know Heather McKenna. She was cursed by a witch, paid by her mother, so she couldn’t shift. Heather was told her whole life that being a shifter was abnormal and made her a monster. She was made to feel ashamed and unworthy. She didn’t find acceptance with her human family or with other wolf shifters when she finally left to forge her own path in the world. Her pack put her at the very bottom of the hierarchy and treated her poorly because what good is a wolf shifter who can’t shift? When this book starts, we learn that Wren, her new Alpha, has helped her release her wolf from the curse. Heather is having a difficult time accepting herself and finding peace with her wolf. She receives a call from her sister informing her that their mother is in the hospital and she needs to come. Their parting wasn’t on good terms. Heather hopes to find closure with her mom and sister and decides to go, despite Wren’s objections. V is a member of the Raines pack and also the child of the pack Alpha. Just like in the first book, we discover that this pack is governed by a strict hierarchy of dominance and submission. The Alpha’s word is law. V and their father do not see eye to eye. V’s non-binary identity and attraction to women are not respected by their father, who insists that they mate with Sinclair, the pack enforcer. As one might expect, Sinclair is terrible, and V wants nothing to do with him. V and Heather meet when V is called to the hospital to handle a potential rogue wolf, who turns out to be Heather. She is struggling to control her emotions and her wolf during the full moon. V immediately recognizes that Heather is their true fated mate. However, it takes Heather, who is not as in tune with her alter ego, a bit longer to come around. I enjoyed the story, but I must admit that it dragged a bit for me because Heather’s self-esteem is extremely low. She believes she is unworthy of anyone’s love or respect. She thinks she is broken and burdensome. She takes responsibility for and apologizes for everything, most of which she is not responsible for. One of my least favorite tropes is one-sided decision-making, like when a character decides, “I am not worth all the trouble I am causing. They can do better than me. I am doing them a favor by leaving.” Then they leave without giving the other person in the relationship a chance to make any decisions for themselves. Heather’s negative self-talk persists for at least half the book. I found myself skimming through these internal monologues because my tolerance for them is low. The book picks up in the second half, and I enjoyed the action scenes and the ending. I love how Wren’s new pack is starting to fill up with like-minded wolves, and I look forward to the next installment in the series. Thank you Netgalley and Bold Strokes Books for the ARC and the opportunity to leave a review.

Paranormal Werewolf Shifter Romance
Format: Paperback
Really good second book in this series. This is the story about Heather whose a werewolf shifter who couldn't shift, but gets help from a witch and an alpha werewolf that brings out her wolf , but she goes rogue after shifting and runs. When Heather and V meet they know that they are each others mate, but there's problems from the beginning. There's a lot of violence, drama and angst in this story, so I would say buckle up for a wild ride.. I would definitely recommend this book and I look forward to what's next in this series from this author.
