Intel® Ethernet Network Adapter X710-T4L

The Intel® Ethernet Network Adapter X710-T4L is engineered to power modern enterprise networks with exceptional speed, reliability, and adaptability. Built on Intel’s trusted 700-series architecture, this quad-port 10GBASE-T NIC delivers dense throughput for data centers, cloud deployments, and virtualization-heavy environments while maintaining compatibility with existing copper cabling and standard server hardware. The X710-T4L is designed to simplify technology transitions from traditional 1G networks to 10G infrastructures, helping IT teams reduce latency, improve application responsiveness, and scale quickly as workloads evolve. With four independent 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports, administrators can consolidate multiple network paths, implement high-performance storage connectivity, and support demanding workloads such as virtualized desktops, databases, and distributed file systems. The low-profile form factor makes it an ideal fit for dense server blades, rack-mounted servers, and modern chassis with limited expansion space, enabling data centers to maximize port density without compromising performance. In addition to raw speed, this adapter emphasizes efficiency and manageability, leveraging hardware offloads and intelligent traffic steering to minimize CPU overhead while delivering consistent, predictable performance under heavy traffic. Whether you’re upgrading a hyperscale rack, refreshing campus data centers, or enabling agile multi-tenant environments, the X710-T4L is designed to deliver the reliability and flexibility required by today’s enterprise networks.

  • The X710-T4L delivers quad-port 10GBASE-T performance, providing up to four independent 10 Gigabit Ethernet links on a single PCIe card. This enables aggressive network segmentation, robust NIC teaming, and seamless virtualization, making it an excellent choice for hypervisor hosts running VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM. With four copper RJ-45 ports, you can leverage existing cabling infrastructure while scaling bandwidth across workloads such as database replication, large-scale backups, and high-throughput file services. The multi-port design also supports link aggregation and fault tolerance configurations, giving administrators fault-resilient paths for critical applications and reducing the risk of single points of failure during peak traffic periods.
  • Deployment flexibility is at the core of the X710-T4L. It supports diverse configurations—from a single 10GBASE-T link for high-speed management networks to full quad-port deployments that isolate storage, virtualization, and back-end service traffic. This makes it ideal for data centers adopting network virtualization, containerized workloads, and microservices architectures where traffic patterns are dynamic. The adapter works well in a range of server platforms and rack densities, ensuring that IT teams can leverage existing hardware while gradually scaling capacity as demand grows. The copper-based design also simplifies cabling strategies, eliminating the need for fiber transceivers in many common enterprise settings.
  • Offloads and acceleration are central to the X710-T4L’s performance story. The card implements advanced offload technologies such as TCP/IP Offload, Large Send Offload, Receive Side Scaling, and VLAN offloads to reduce CPU cycles spent processing network traffic. This translates to lower host CPU utilization, higher guest VM performance, and improved efficiency for storage-intensive applications like iSCSI, NFS, and database replication. By moving repetitive networking tasks into hardware, the adapter leaves more CPU cycles available for application workloads, leading to lower latency and higher throughput across mixed OS environments and virtual machines.
  • Management, security, and ease of deployment are enhanced through Intel’s robust software ecosystem. The X710-T4L is supported by Intel PROSet for Windows and Linux, enabling streamlined driver installation, NIC teaming, VLAN tagging, PXE boot, and centralized management. Features such as Flow Director, QoS, and virtualization-aware offloads help administrators implement policy-based networking and traffic steering with minimal effort. These capabilities are particularly valuable in multi-tenant data centers and enterprise networks that demand consistent performance, predictable latency, and secure isolation between workloads.
  • Reliability, efficiency, and future-proofing round out the value proposition. The X710-T4L is built for continuous operation in demanding data center environments, with robust error handling, firmware updates, and compatibility with a broad range of operating systems. The low-profile PCIe form factor enables deployment in dense racks and blade servers, while 10GBASE-T copper connectivity preserves the familiar Ethernet conduits used across enterprise networks. The combination of high bandwidth, flexible port configuration, and efficient offloads makes this adapter a sound long-term investment for organizations pursuing modernization without ripping and replacing their existing cabling and infrastructure.

Keep ample supply of batteries nearby
Color: Graphite, Style: Keyboard
his keyboard does exactly what I needed it to do—stay quiet. No loud clack-clack echoing through calls, even on sensitive audio. It’s a solid choice if you’re working around microphones or just prefer a softer typing sound. Connectivity was easy, and it’s been reliable so far. The keys feel comfortable once you get into a rhythm. That said, the spacing is just slightly different from my previous keyboard—barely a millimeter or so—but it’s enough to throw you off at first. There’s definitely a short adjustment period before your fingers recalibrate. Also, it doesn't blow through batteries super fast, but I promise you'll want some spares handy because Murphy's Law dictates that you will be in the middle of something important when they go out! Overall, a dependable, low-noise keyboard that works well once you get used to the feel.

I am very happy!
Color: Graphite, Style: Keyboard
No issues. Keyboard works great and connects flawlessly to my laptop. Can't imagine any other problems. It does make a little clicky noise when typing but not overly loud or annoying and not as loud/annoying as my work computer keyboard. That keyboard has a very thin, plasticy, sharper, cheaper sounding click and this has a more subdued, heavier duty sounding click. I like it much better. It seems dampened maybe. It's hard to describe sounds but I find it way less annoying than any other keyboards I have used. I am extremely happy with its size and still having the full keyboard and numbers.

Feels cheap, but hard to complain at this price
Color: Graphite, Style: Keyboard, Color: Graphite, Style: Keyboard
This keyboard definitely looks and feels very budget, and the plastic construction makes that obvious right away. The whole board has a strong plastic feel, and if you twist it even a little bit, you can hear the frame making plastic creaking noises. It doesn’t exactly feel sturdy or premium. The key feel is also pretty mediocre. The keys feel a bit mushy and not very satisfying to type on. If you’re used to better keyboards or mechanical ones, the typing experience here will probably feel pretty underwhelming. That said, I can’t be too harsh on it. This is a very cheap keyboard, and for the price it does the basic job. It connects easily over Bluetooth with no lag, and it even comes with the AAA batteries included. So it’s still a decent value for a simple everyday keyboard. Four stars feels fair for what it is.
