Designed for enduro or downhill tracks during mountain biking, the Assegai 27.5x2.5” WT MaxxGrip DoubleDown TLR MTB Tyre by Maxxis is a force to be reckoned with. Featuring 3C MaxxGrip that uses the softest rubber compounds, these tyres ensure ultimate grip and a slow rebound for the best traction performance as you head downhill, and the dual-ply DoubleDown casing offers enduro racers the support and protection they need from a downhill tyre in a lighter package. Running Tubeless Ready, the Assegai demonstrates the ability to run lower air pressions for improved traction, lower rolling resistance and less chance of flats whilst the Wide Trail optimises the tyre’s tread profile on wider rims up to 35mm to make full use of the larger, gripper tyre that’ll give you all the grip and confidence you need when shredding round corners or landing back in the dirt after the jump.
Features:
- 3C MaxxGrip: softest rubber compounds to offer the ultimate in grip and slow rebound for unparalleled traction downhill
- DoubleDown (DD): dual-ply casing for enduro racing - two 120 TPI casing layers reinforced with a butyl insert provides enduro racers with support and protection of a downhill tyre in a lighter package
- Tubeless Ready (TLR): run lower air pressures, improve traction, lower rolling resistance and less chance of flats
- Wide Trail (WT): optimises the tyre's tread layout and profile on wider rims
- WT tyres are optimised for a 35mm inner rim width, but are proven to work over a range between 30-35mm inner rim widths
