It all starts with a note folded into the shape of an origami octopus: "Hi, Me. Yes, you. You're me, and I'm you." If you believe this and the other origami notes that follow--which middle schooler Meade Macon absolutely, positively does NOT--the concept of parallel dimensions is true, and there is a convention full of alternate versions of Meade waiting for his RSVP. It's got to be a joke.
Except . . . the octopus is an origami fold Meade thought he invented. And the note writer has a lot of intel on him that nobody else should know. I mean, he's told his best friend Twig a lot about himself, but he's definitely kept mum about that time he sleepwalk-peed into his Lego container when he was six. Could Me Con be a real thing? And should he go?

Couples Therapy for Domestic Violence
Format: Hardcover
Very helpful for students, clinicians, and researchers. Great information on understanding domestic violence from a systemic perspective. Excellent outline and explanation of the treatment model and how to implement it with couples and in group formats. This is the only model that offers clinicians like me a clear map to comprehensive treatment services for couples/partners presenting with intimate partner violence / domestic violence. I just purchased 2 more copies for staff interested in implementing the model. A criminal justice professional read my copy and stated: "This is treatment. This is what we need, especially for couples looking at reconciliation."

Excellent treatment manual
Format: Hardcover
State of the art manual on a solution-focused form of multi-couple couples therapy for intimate partner violence. Excellent presentation of the rationale and the underlying theory behind the approach. I particularly like the presentation of the first six sessions. However, I did not endorse this with 5 stars because I believe that the solution-focused approach does not go far enough for some couples and that they need some more structured interventions for managing conflict, such as those presented in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
