Vinyl LP pressing. Tower of Power, the most dynamic and distinctive band of survivors in soul music, roars into it's 50th anniversary with a dynamic new LP of all new material. A labor of love, definitively titled Soul Side of Town, it's charged with 14 filler-free songs, primarily composed by the hit-making team of founding members Emilio Castillo and Stephen Doc Kupka who also hold down the world famous five-man Tower of Power Horns. Along with the legendary rhythm section of David Garibaldi (drums) and Francis Rocco Prestia (bass), TOP is rounded out here by guitarist Jerry Cortez, Hammond B3 organist/keyboardist Roger Smith, tenor saxophonist Tom Politzer, and trumpeters Adolfo Acosta and Sal Cracchiolo. Soul Side of Town is also blessed with not one but two lead singers: Ray Greene and Marcus Scott (boldly introduced on several selections, including "Hangin With My Baby"). Co-produced by Joe Vannelli and mastered by Bernie Grundman.

One of the best, most practical, and well written books on Black Liberation!

So good that I am creating a book club for young (teenagers) POC. Very good book that is pro-Black without being anti-Anyone. I love the approach: you can love your race and promote it without also enslaving or attacking others. I am enjoying the read immensely and will be buying other books by the author. It's a really easy read, and arranged in a way that makes it easy to use for lesson planning and discussion.

Great book about a Great museum.
Format: Paperback
Great book, I have visited the museum and was only able to finish the first three basement floors... yes it was that intense. The book helps me read up more on my own time at home. I look forward to visiting the museum again, whenever I get lucky and score some tickets on the next lottery time. This book will tide me until then for the next visit to the upper floors this time.
