This piece is worked back and forth in rows with an overall lace pattern, flanked by seed stitch panels on either side. Both short ends feature a ribbed edging, with German short rows worked across the side stitches at the very beginning and end of the piece to prevent the seed stitch sides from drawing up alongside the ribbing. To secure the poncho, snap fasteners are sewn onto the edges along one side, leaving an opening towards the fold.
