I find that dogs, as man's best friend, invoke an enthusiasm for life. They inspire us to break free from the constraints of a lethargic lifestyle and venture outside to play and run. I paint many different animals, from birds and bugs to cows and cats, but none are quite so similar to us as humans as dogs. Over time they begin to resemble their humans and vice versa.
