This comics omnibus includes the graphic novels Julio's Day and The Children of Palomar, as well as never-before-collected work by brothers Mario and Gilbert Hernandez, some of which has never been available since its early 2000s run in comic book single issues. Children of Palomar and Other Tales(the fifteenth volume in our Complete Love and Rockets Library omnibuses and the eighth Gilbert volume) begins with "Me for the Unknown," uncollected since its original 2001-2004 run in Love and Rockets Vol. II comic books. Written by Mario Hernandez and drawn by Gilbert Hernandez, it traces the Rabelaisian journey of Tagg Lillard. A U.S. citizen with a seemingly perfect life working in Latin America, he escapes a death trap clutching important papers, and an imperious CEO and his manservant pursue him through a land plagued by colonialist/corporate greed. Also collected: one of their joints from 2008, "Chiro el Indio." In The Children of Palomar suite of short stories (2006-2007; collected in 2013), there are many mysterious visitors, an apparition that haunts childless women, and readers learn how Chelo lost her eye. And in Julio's Day, which originally ran from 2001-2008 and was collected in 2013, a man's life-threaded with war, loss, illness, and forbidden love-spans a century. Maybe not for super aggressive chewers

I had high hopes for this toy, I was so excited about it. I have aggressive chewers, two Malinois/Dutch Shepard mixes and a Pit. The Shepard's chewed pieces off of it in literally 5 minutes. At the ends there is a small lip and that's where they started chewing pieces off. I had ordered a second one before I gave them this one (early Christmas present) because when I received it I noticed it felt very sturdy and durable. They do like it so since they already chewed this one I'm going to see if I can shave that lip off and maybe they won't get anymore pieces off. That'll decide if I return the one that arrives tomorrow. Maybe not good for super aggressive chewers. It's very thick and seems well made. Might just be better for other dogs.

Fantastic for rough chewing

Our big boy is rough with his toys and always seems to disintegrate his toys in seconds. I had seen this with hoping this will be the toy he doesn’t destroy. On day 2 now with the toy and he’s obsessed, even feel asleep with the toy in his mouth and still in one piece. Highly recommended for tough chewers.

Good but not for my dog

Dog loves it but already falling apart. Can't seem to find a truly safe dog toy that won't come apart with my aggressive chewer. Had to toss it before pieces got ingested. But great toy in the begining. Just not safe for pit/staff type dog that destroy and chew.

Indestructible!
These dog chew toys have been a great purchase! My dog loves them and was interested in them right away. The shapes are fun and easy for my dog to hold while chewing, which keeps them entertained for a long time.
The material feels durable and has held up really well even with regular chewing. I also like that it helps keep my dog busy and gives them something safe to chew on instead of furniture or shoes.
Getting two toys in the pack is a nice bonus, and they seem well made for the price. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend these chew toys to other dog own

Indestructible for the heavy chewers in your life!
My dogs can chew anything, and these are still in great shape! Very chew resistant to even my large dogs, and they love them! Easy to wash off if they end up in the food bowl or outside!
