Application:

The Nova Tractor BCRX verge flail mower series is equipped with a large and extremely powerful transmission made by the famous italian factory Bondioli&Pavesi, making this embankment mower the perfect choice for medium and larger tractors. These professional mowers come with working widths of up to 110" and a hydraulic swivel arm for maximum flexibility and a mowing range angle from -45° to +90°. The maximum distance from the middle of the tractor to the right side of the mower is up to 155", depending on the BCRX-model. In combination with the right tractor BCRX-mowers are superior to almost any vegetation and can still offer high work efficiency.

The new hydraulic swivel arms are internaly reinforced and not only allows mowing in almost any position, but it also saves manoeuvring in narrow corners when you use the BCRX as regular flail mower. Your tractor needs 2 double acting hydraulic control circuits in order to fully operate the swivel arm.

Technology - innovative crash protection system

The Nova Tractor BCRX verge mower series comes with a new intelligent spring-based crash protection system, which lets the mower swing out to the back, in case you hit a solid piece of material. This additonal swivelling feature gives the tractor driver the opportunity to brake in time, before serious damage is done to the mower. This safety feature is totally maintenance free and runs reliably for years.

Nova Tractor is using 24 to 28 of the new large forged and galvanized high performance flail hammers (depending on working width) - each with a weight of 2.8 lbs - that ensure a perfect mowing result on grass, undergrowth and bushes up to 2" in diameter. The mowing height is adjusted by the heavy self cleaning roller, to prevent the mower from cutting into the ground on bumpy surface. The new counter knifes help to even cut high grass with perfect efficiency.

The large professional free-wheel transmission lets the knife shaft turn, once the PTO is switched off, so that its movement will not be transferred to the tractor. The mower´s front is equipped with safety flaps to prevent debris and stones being thrown out of the machine.

All BCRX-mowers have easily accessible new stainless steel grease nipples for easy service and height adjustable skids and support legs for storage. The BCRX verge mower comes with a massive 70" PTO shaft. The short and easy service plan in the user manual helps you on maintenance and service. The completely assembled machine is delivered in the massive metal crate. Just the 3-point hitch, the hydraulic swivel arm and the PTO shaft protector have to be assembled, taking you less than 1h time. We offer an assembly guide with photos to assist you.

SKF ball bearings

Like all other Nova Tractor mowers, the BCRX series comes with a SKF ball bearing mounted and electronically balanced rotor shaft which is driven by 5 belts. Despite the high knife weight of 1300gr each the Bowell belt system guarantees an almost 100% power transfer rate without belt problems. The heavy free-wheel Bondioli&Pavesi gear box runs in an oil bath, so the transmission oil, that comes with the machine, has to be filled in before you first use the machine.

The flail hammers are mounted in a spiral, so despite the wide working width never more than two flails are actually cutting at the same time. This significantly reduces the needed mowing power.

Underneath the massive double 4 + 4mm steel housing sits the massive laser balanced knife shaft with 24 to 28 high performance forged and galvanized hammer shaped knifes, each with a weight of 3 lbs. The knifes are made of forged steel and can be individually exchanged and regrinded. Powered by the PTO shaft, the knife shafts turns with an amazing 2150 rpm and cuts the material down to a minimum, so that it can rot away fast. The heavy roller in the back of the mower guarantees smooth performance even on rough grounds

Safety protection valve. Nova Tractor BCRX has 2 safety valve to prevent tractor falling accident due to mower falling too fast. When transport the BCRX, Nova Tractor provide 2 locking pin to keep mower in safe transport position.

Replaceable counter knife . The counter knife in the mower housing and replaceable, are helping to do an even more efficient job as before.

Strong V belt. The BCRX series has an electronically balanced rotor shaft which is driven by 5 belts depending on the working width. Despite the high flail hammer knife weight of 2.8 lbs, this guarantees an almost 100% power transfer rate with virtually 0% belt slippage. The new Nova Tractor belt cover is unique in the BCRX mower class.
