In the midst of the folk boom of the 1960s, 6-string history was forever changed with the arrival of Yamaha’s FG series of steel-string acoustic guitars. The Yamaha 60th Anniversary pays homage to that pivotal moment, upgrading the brand’s top-of-the-line FG9 model with treasure-grade tonewoods. This ultra-premium, Japanese-made acoustic guitar’s Adirondack spruce top and scalloped X-bracing start things off with a booming projection and touch-sensitive dynamics — there’s a good reason why this timber has stood as the king of all 6-string top woods for well over a century. Around back, a set of dazzling Guatemalan rosewood back and sides tempers the top’s sheer power with dense harmonic overtones and superb top-end definition. What’s more, the 60th Anniversary FG9 honors the legendary dreadnoughts of yore with its wooden rope purfling, while the body’s ebony binding matches the jet-black vibe of the matching ebony fingerboard. You also get top-quality Gotoh SXN510 tuning machines to retain rock-solid tuning stability, a comfortable mahogany neck, Yamaha’s cutting-edge bolt-on neck system, and Kumiki-inspired fingerboard inlays. It all adds up to a truly heirloom-level instrument that’s inspired by Yamaha’s illustrious past yet not afraid to push the boundaries of modern acoustic artistry.

Prestigious tonewoods deliver impeccable tone
As befitting this FG9’s auspicious anniversary, this acoustic boasts top-of-the-line tonewoods from headstock to strap pin. It all starts with an Adirondack spruce top — a timber championed by discerning acoustic guitarists for its unmatched projection and cutting clarity. For the body, Yamaha selected a premium set of Guatemalan rosewood, rounding out the 60th Anniversary FG9’s voice with deep bass, dense harmonics, and shimmering high-end definition. Wrapped up with scalloped X-bracing to ensure a touch-sensitive response, the 60th Anniversary FG9 tackles booming bluegrass rhythms, rapid-fire flatpicking, and even hushed fingerstyle melodies with equal aplomb.

Attentive Japanese construction
One quick glance at the Yamaha 60th Anniversary FG9 was enough to enamor even most discriminating dreadnought aficionados. Handcrafted Japanese-inspired elements, including a rope rosette and purfling, cement the 60th Anniversary FG9’s unabashed old-school aura while simultaneously providing stunning good looks. Upon closer inspection, its ebony fingerboard reveals Kumiki-inspired fingerboard markers — a boutique detail that, in addition to guiding easy note transitions, tops off the FG9’s incredible craftsmanship to a T.

Crowned with player-preferred hardware and appointments
The FG9’s elegance extends with a stunning collection of top-shelf fittings. Open-gear Cosmo Black Gotoh tuning machines and hardware provide a distinct look while locking in tuning stability. Pair this with a semi-gloss mahogany neck in a comfortable profile, and the 60th Anniversary FG9 ensures comfortable playability no matter your playing style. Topped off with its assembly of pleasing Japanese arrangements, this acoustic combines complete player control with admirable visual charm.

Excellent product at a very good price. I will buy it again.
This is an excellent product at a fair price. The cream creates a barrier that protects the skin, while mosturizes it. leaves hands very soft, and it doesn't feel greasy. I know that this is a favorite brand (Avene) in France, and Amazon offers it at a very good price. I will buy it again, from Amazon. I bought it this year in Paris, and it was more expensive there.

Drying formula and smell bad
Smell so bad and made my hands dry instead of moisturizing. The formula is watery. Maybe it’s fake or expired I am not sure.

Obsessed. Soothing, effective, fragrance-free, incredibly healing
Style: Tolerance Daily Foaming Facial Cleanser
I’ve been loving this so much I bought a second bottle after a few days of using it. It has all the skin soothing benefits of the tolerance lotion cleanser, but it’s also a really great cleanser. It’s almost not noticeable how good it is at cleansing because your skin doesn’t feel stripped after, but it takes things off really quickly. I was worried because it doesn’t foam a lot and it feels so nurturing — much like the tolerance lotion cleanser (which I use as a second cleanse when my skin needs a few days to recover from something like a derm office treatment) — but when I wash again with my favorite HG cleanser nothing extra comes off, and I tested it twice on waterproof eyeliner that I’d swiped on my forearm for an hour or so, the eyeliner dissolved and wiped off with two or three gentle swipes. It has a very emollient texture, so when you rub it against your skin it slips so easily you don’t realize it’s dissolving and taking things away because there is no friction. So it’s great at taking off makeup, it’s AMAZING at cleaning makeup brushes, and IT DOES NOT BURN MY EYES AT ALL. Also, it is FRAGRANCE-FREE… before I bought it I read a review complaining about smelling a citrus fragrance, that person either has some sort of brain tumor or something spilled on their bottle when it was in a warehouse because this is definitely a fragrance-free product. Prior to trying this, I had tried another cleanser that gave me weird acne hives all over my chest (never happened to me before) and I was struggling to heal the acne and the irritation. I noticed an immediate difference when I started using the tolerance cleanser on it; the fresh redness went away, the acne started healing, and the post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation has been healing fast. So I’ve been using this on my body as well and it’s soothing and moisturizing in all the places where other things have been drying. I have mild rosacea and I hadn’t realized how irritated my skin was from the last thing I’d tried until after 5 days or so of using this my skin tone looked much more even and the stubborn PIH I have from a two-zit hormonal breakout a month ago finally looked dramatically lighter (as recently as the week before, I’d needed to cover them with high-coverage concealer). Because this doesn’t foam much, some people might not realize how well it’s cleaning… I encourage you to judge it based on how your skin looks and feels. Since it is very emollient though, I do think it’s important to use it with a face wash scrubber or washcloth just to ensure you’re getting some mild mechanical exfoliation and clearing away skin cells that could be trapping stuff in your pores. For this reason, I do wash my face with this twice so the first wash can get off makeup/debris/oil and then the second wash can really penetrate and clean my skin.

No Scent and Gentle
Style: Tolerance Daily Foaming Facial Cleanser
I broke out in a case of Perioral Dermatitis recently and bought this product to help before I could see my doctor. Avene Tolerance facial cleanser has no scent and is very gentle on my skin. It didn’t burn when washing with this product, and even helped to slough off the dead skin around my lips. My face feels clean, not dry. I am still going to see my doc to get an RX for the inflammation, but I do believe this product helped to alleviate the dryness and tightness of my skin and lips. I’ve used other Avene products and I’m very happy with them. Even though these products are more expensive, to me they are well worth the money because they are much more gentle on the skin than any other products I’ve used. I will buy this product again just because of the fact that it’s so gentle. PS: at the time of purchase for this product, I also bought Avene’s Tolerance Control Skin Recovery Cream (you don’t need to use a lot of this one on your entire face), and Avene’s Cicalfate for lips. Between these 3 products, my lips and skin feel a lot better (however, I will still see my doctor because I have Crohn’s Disease and Perioral Dermatitis is considered an extra-intestinal side effect of Crohn’s).

Gentle everyday cleanser!
Style: Tolerance Daily Foaming Facial Cleanser
My go to nightly cleanser! Gentle yet effective. Removes makeup without leaving any residue behind. Also does not dry out my skin or cause breakouts! I would say it’s more of a cream cleanser though. It does not really foam up. It’s a decent size bottle for the price. The pump dispenser is an added plus!
