TC Bros. Belt-to-Chain Conversion Kit for Harley-Davidson Sportster 2000-2003

This TC Bros. 530 chain drive conversion kit is the easy way to get rid of your stock belt and pulley setup on your Harley-Davidson.

  • Accepts 530 chain (available separately)
  • Choice of finish
  • Steel sprockets front and rear
  • 23/48 sprocket ratio is comparable to most factory final drive ratios
  • Reduces future labor to final drive
  • Withstands driveline shocks belts can’t
  • TC Bros. stainless steel mechanical sprocket lock included

Harley-Davidson belt drives have a lot going for them—they’re quiet, low maintenance, and long-lived. However, they have a lot of shortcomings, too—they don’t tolerate abuse or extreme shock, they severely limit altering wheelbase or ride height, and they require lots of labor if a belt is in need of replacement. Changing final drive ratio is also much more complicated. Some riders are just better off with a chain.

This conversion kit from TC Bros. contains a USA-made front steel sprocket and durable steel rear sprocket in your choice of finish, and both will provide long-lasting performance. The 23-tooth front sprocket and 48-tooth rear sprocket bolt in place of your existing pulleys and provide gearing that is nearly identical to your OEM belt setup. The only item you need to add is an appropriate 530 chain (available separately). These kits are a smart choice for riders who load and unload the driveline aggressively or have high-output engines. They're ideal for machines with altered wheelbases due to extended swingarms or modified frames, or riders seeking a more traditional look than a belt provides.

Kits are designed for stock motorcycles using stock alloy or wire spoke wheels, tires, swingarm, and frame as well as riders using our hardtail kit. They’re plenty adaptable, but if you’re using this kit in a modified application, you may need to fabricate or machine components to achieve proper chain alignment. Please review fitment notes for additional information.

Second watch died faster than the first!
Color: Black/Brown/White
Now I have bought two of these. On the first, indiglo died after one year (battery otherwise fine). On the second, it only lasted 9 months. I’m done. On the first, suspecting the battery was prematurely drained, I took it to the jeweler to get a new battery. He said there was nothing wrong with the battery. I was within the warranty period for the second watch. When I inquired, I was told that it meant shipping the watch overseas for about 3 months to be fixed. Wow. So in reality, it's a disposable item that is not likely to work as long as warranted, much less several years. Time to find another brand.

An excellent replacement for the old camper watch
Color: Black/Black/Black
I wore Timex camer watches for much of my adult life. I prefer the analog wind-up versions, but they are not widely available at a reasonable price. I purchased this model for its large easy to read face and durable strap. The Indiglo feature is a bonus.

Favorite watch / solar
Color: Green/Green
I'm partial... I have bought Timex my intire life, they no doubt make the best watches... They take a licking, but keep on ticking is there old commercials.. True.. Great quality, keeps going after many year's... I never bought a solar watch from them prior I have to mention... It should hold up I'm thinking like their battery watches, I hope so. My favorite watch, I own a handful. Watch looks better in person... Downfall, they are trying a new band out of recycled plastic, I don't like it as much as the older bands it's soft, but feels a little strange...
